The start of indie bookshop week has got to be Sir Terry, right?

Being nd is really really hard.

Watching a Grand Designs from 1998... the prices!!! 😱 Those were the days.

11th of the month and we are already having to top up the joint account.

Wondering if it is a good or bad thing that I spend so much of my non work time thinking about work.

Thank you to everyone who has found time to review Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal at @thestorygraph.com and Goodreads app.thestorygraph.com/books/3eb4ce... www.goodreads.com/book/show/20...

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback - I was determined to write a book that would connect with as many people as possible whether neurodivergent or just interested in understanding

I have to go into hospital for a thing tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it. Not least because when I went in for a similar thing a few weeks ago I told the nurse I was waiting for autism assessment and diagnosis, she told just to stick to what I had actually been diagnosed with - mh stuff.

My next article is in progress, and my editor wants to know the worst jobs for ADHD. Basically the kinds of positions that do not play to our strengths as ADHD-ers. Open to any suggestions!

We have hope. Rebellions are built on hope.

Happy ADHD Month (for October 2024)

Reminder that we couldn’t find a bookshop to sell books in Eastbourne tonight but I will be very happy to sign any books and will be hanging about and drinking wine as it has been a hell of a first month on tour wegottickets.com/event/659747/

What verbs do we use for Blue Sky? I assume we are no longer tweeting so are we Blue-Skying?

Only on page 12 of @robinince.bsky.social 's book and already wanting to share bits with EVERYONE... but only sharing with a select few.

Biggest nd challenge this week was a very brightly lit meeting room with very loud speakers for the video call attendees. I was there in person. I wished I wasn't. It took 2 days to recover. At least I now know not to attend meetings there in future.

Hope you get a chance to listen to the music and poetry album Rachel and I have made

Away as a family, sharing a room. They are all asleep... I am not.

Really looking forward to getting my copy of this book and seeing Robin talk about it next week.

I struggle to gauge my energy levels when active. I have to stop and allow my body enough time to work out just how exhausted I am. So right now I am lying down waiting to fund out if I need a sleep before a long drive.

Really struggling at the moment. Pressures of work and home are clashing.

Already feeling overwhelmed by the week ahead and it hasn't even started yet.

Struggling to make flexible working hours work for me... any nd folk made it work for them?

Nd assessment done. Youngest has autistic traits but not enough for diagnosis so he has been referred for ADOS assessment. 🤷‍♀️

Only got 6 minutes into @chrisgpackham.bsky.social new documentary before needing to stop and discuss.

Counting down to youngest's nd assessment this coming week. Feel like I should be prepping but don't know how. #autism #adhd #nd

Watching oldest at archery while I listen to The Autism Curve on BBC Sounds.

This is what I was aiming for - for people to feel happier to exist and be who they are - to help people thrive and connect uk.bookshop.org/p/books/norm...

Very excited to have got the last ticket to an event... I will be seeing @robinince.bsky.social later this month!!! I can't wait.

Watching a documentary about DS9 seems wrong on Star Wars Day... we will fix it by watching Andor later.

After 2 weeks off, a return to twice weekly school runs means a return to running. Thinking I'll go back just over a week in c25k to ease myself back in and wondering if rugby shorts will be comfortable to run in! Trying to look after my mental and physical health.

This has been the most exhausting Easter fortnight.

Been visiting friends and family over the break. My least favourite small talk question at the moment is "how's work?" It stumps me every time. I honestly don't know how to answer this question. Should I treat it like "How are you?" I know the answer to this is supposed to be "fine thanks. And you?"

Maybe time remind everyone self diagnosis is valid #Autism In the UK you don't need a diagnosis for accommodations. A formal diagnosis is not required to be considered disabled under the Equality Act. You can still ask for accommodations at school or work. You can self ID.
