We’re paying record taxes. Receipts in January were a record. Yet spending meant that the government didn’t get the surplus expected. Lots of clients putting prices up this month as well to compensate for the NIC increases coming which will impact inflation. The system is totally broken.

Not going to name the place but tonights meal was a disaster. Took over an hour to get the food which was bland and salty. The manager who had served us realised he had massively cocked up. Apologised & gave us the meal and all drinks free. Felt sorry for him but now at hotel with bag of crisps!

Shower trays in and totally seamless to the floor. The white pipe sticking up is the steam generator drain and will be in the stud with inspection hatch.

In air tightness news I blocked the loft hatches with some left over PIR and sealed with duct tape. Should be sufficient for the test. Only thing left is to seal last of MVHR vents - one is blowing a gale through it !
