Pope Francis's letter to US Bishops (with a sharp rebuke to Trump admin and especially VP Vance's misinterpretation of Catholic dogma.) www.vatican.va/content/fran...

"The extent to which the United States is embroiled in a major political crisis would be obvious and apparent if these events were unfolding in another country."

The Ten Ws for how to survive the chaos and pain during the next few years by the wonderful Diana Butler Bass. (Wake up, Welcome the day, Walk, (Be) With others, Work, Write, Watch the news, practice Wide-sight, Weep, and Wonder.)

Letter to Bishop Budde from the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas.

A must read for these times...

Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde to Trump: "I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. My feelings today are a combo of the lyrics and video. "Do you hear the people sing? Singing the song of angry men? It is the music of the people Who will not be slaves again! When the beating of your heart Echoes the beating of the drums There is a life about to start When tomorrow comes."

“The Arc of the Moral Universe is Long, But it Bends Toward Justice.” ~MLK Jr.

It is now sunset in the USA. How we make it to dawn is up to us. Work hopefully and fervently for democracy, equity, and justice.

Today, let us focus on Dr. King's legacy and our collective future. We have work to do.

Pope Francis on Jan. 19 denounced President Donald Trump's provisional plans to carry out a massive deportation of migrants as a "disgrace."

The Catholic Ordinaries in the Holy Land have issued a statement welcoming the ceasefire agreement to end hostilities in Gaza and release hostages. They are hopeful but acknowledge a long process will be needed to build a genuine and lasting peace.

Listen up.

Can’t wait to join this on Monday, and such thanks to Rebecca for pulling it together!
