Currently, I’m very invested in Unicorn Overlord, but the game that keeps drawing me back is…

I feel ya. I got mine in 2011 and yet I remember just staring and admiring the main menu for like an hour straight. It was a magical time back then.

Mega Man Battle Network 4 Red Sun. Granted, this happened when I was a kid, but still. It pissed me off when I couldn’t progress much further than a certain vampire boss lair, but after I did, I fell in love with the game, and the series as a whole.

Legally, what you are supposed to do is “dump” your keys and firmware from your actual console into the emulator. There are tutorials on how to do that.

By the time I was born, arcades were already a think of the past. But man, do I often wonder how life would’ve been like in the 80’s-90’s.

Now let’s see what you think of Chrono Cross.

I’m really enjoying Unicorn Overlord! I’ve already sank 60+ hours into the game, and I’m not stopping till I beat it!!!

I’m sort of the same way. Except I just cheat. It’s so much fun just watching my character go crazy and destroy everything around them.

They were planning a 4th game, where they were going to introduce a descendant of Lan Hikari. If you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly recommend you do!

(We don’t talk about Star Force 2 though.)

This series is a direct sequel to the legendary Mega Man Battle Network series of games. To be honest, I don’t know why this game series didn’t really resonate with folks. To me, it had some great story writing, memorable characters, killer music, and great gameplay.

Ok, last one. I promise!!!
@gabepuratekuta.bsky.social already mentioned this game, but Mega Man Star Force is another heavily underrated game. Except it’s not just one game, but a whole entire series!

I could go on and on about how much I love the OST, or how you have 2 promotions instead of 1 for every character, or how awesome the story is. I think it gets it bad rep mostly because of the difficulty bug that the English release has. But besides that, I have no complaints!

Here is another example of a game that is heavily underrated. Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn is imo a very seldom talked game in the franchise, despite being a direct sequel to one of the greatest Fire Emblems out there, Path of Radiance.

Agree!!! I played SF 1 and SF3, with SF 3 Red Joker being my favorite!!!

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses is an underrated game compared to its predecessor, Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories. The OST, the entirely new way of playing, and the real world history mixed with Yu-Gi-Oh! characters are all interesting and good imo!

I think the best comparison I could find is Lawbreakers. And even that game had some life in the beginning.

Most gamers are too ignorant to care really. Which is why triple A companies will continue to serve us slop. And unfortunately, most of us will continue eating it.

Mine would be strategy! Even though I love a lot of them (Fire Emblem is one of my all time favorites), most of the time, I don’t know what I’m doing lol

I truly hope that’s not the case. But with the way the political space has been entering the gaming space, I’m afraid it’s going to divide many more people. Which is incredibly sad.
