Doug Ford called a snap election in the middle of winter with the hope you wouldn't vote. I suggest you prove him wrong today. #OnPoli #OntarioVotes

I'm very excited to help the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence's Survivor Justice Initiative kick off its new podcast on criminalized survivors, "Until They're Free." Listen to the first episode here: gcadv.org/sji/untilthe... #SurvivedandPunished #FreeThemAll

This is the rhetoric driving the gender counter-revolution. It creates the (mis)perception that feminists are the oppressors and that men are the ones under attack.

Did you know that, in #Canada, in 2024: - at least 154 children were left without a mother. - 10 children were killed alongside their mother. #Femicide leaves many victims, both fatal and living victims, especially children. For more, see: ⤵️

Jumping on the intro train 👋🏻 I'm Eden, a PhD candidate at Western University in 🇨🇦 researching motherhood in the context of intimate partner violence. Imperfect Victims has been out for two years, and I continue to receive messages from incarcerated people saying the book resonated with their experiences and made them feel seen. If you want to send a copy inside to an incarcerated survivor, please let me know and I’ll arrange it.

Survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) are often forced to choose between the violence of the state or their partner. I talked to No Body Criminalized about "criminalized survivors" and abolition feminism. 💜🎧:http://no-body-criminalized.simplecast.com/episodes

As today marks the start of the #16daysofactivism against #genderbasedviolence, the Femicide Watch Platform will be highlighting key actors, days, events, definitions, and more to bring awareness about GBV. Today’s topic; the history of November 25th and the impact of the Mirabal Sisters👇

Making sure that my first post on @bsky.app is a very important one
