On UK benefits cuts. Ask your MP to attend the Disabled People Against Cuts meeting on the 17th March. It’s a chance for MPs to hear directly from disabled people! Template letter below. I’ve sent mine off…takes minutes if you do have the battery. #BenefitsCuts #DisabilityRights

Maybe I should look for a #TTRPG not made in the USA. Any recommendations?

‘There goes the #chime on your phone again.’ ‘Yep. It’s a reminder for my daily jog.’ ‘So, you need to get going?’ ‘No, it’s ok. I’ll skip today and just do it tomorrow.’ ‘But you said that yesterday.’ ‘I know. It’s a running joke.’ #vss365

I din't think mistakes by the DWP are a bug. They are a design feature.

The benefits system for disability is broken and unfair but not in the way the government and anti- welfare brigade suggests it is. BBC News - PIP benefits: 'Worrying' number of teens lose payments at age 16 - BBC News www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

BBC News - Keir Starmer says benefit unfair www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... How about: Prosecuting employers who discriminate Improving access to buildings Improving PIP Getting the DWP to help disabled peeps Improving public transport Helping carers

Notes from an older #autistic person. I was today years old when I discovered the joys of low abrasion undies during the 10km race at Goring. I think there may be wardrobe clear out and restock in the near future

How to say an autistic person lives here on a delivery without saying an autistic person lives here. (It's not mine though!)

Notes from an older autistic person. Android phones have a search function which allows you to find the phone app when you can't avoid making an actual phone call.

Notes from an older autistic. It's possible to have more than one special interest. The remains of my past ones build up in my home like a coral.

This looks like it was designed by Homer Simpson on a bad day. Swasticar indeed.

BBC News are describeing the Trump-Zelensky meeting as an "Extrordinary Exchange". For anyone who doesn't speak fluent British it roughly translates as "Holy shit! That was the mother of all cluster-fucks!"

Supporters Praise Trump For Upholding Traditional American Value Of Supporting Murderous Dictators For Political Gain

I don't see how the UK can trust and remain in a special relationship with the USA after what I'm seeing now. No country can chose between a Trump or Putin dictatorship. Shame on America!

Someone should get Trump to look at the other side of the map. The big beautiful Bering Straight is only 53 miles between Alaska and Russia.

autisticadvocacy.org/2025/02/asan... You can't reduce the prevelance of autism without eugenics.

2 lessons we need to remember 80 years on from the liberation of Auschwitz: 1) Hatred of the 'other' led to the holocaust 2) Appeasement of facist tyrants doesn't work

My painting is called 🌋Meltdown🌋| This piece depicts what it’s like for me to have a meltdown as an autistic person. I painted it because I can show you better than I can tell you, as someone who is highly dependent on visuals. #autisticartist #acrylicpainting #autisticadult #autismawareness

Another week and my efforts to resist the autistic urge to Sieg Heil continue

Now more than ever before, it's not just "nice" to see autistic by their strengths, including those with complex disabilities. It is literally the *safer* option.

Autistic logic/ classification If it looks luke a duck sounds like a duck acts like a duck flocks with ducks it's a duck If they look like a nazi talk like a nazi act like a nazi associate with nazis they are a nazi

Not only did Musk do a Nazi salute but so did the crowd @krystalball.bsky.social Ask Sagar if they were also doing an autistic Roman salute

Non-autistics don't understand special interests are important to us. That's enough isn't it? You don't need them to get it. And that's the way it always been. Autistics have interests and non-autistics don't get them. To paraphrase Lance from the Detectorists.

One question that was answered by my diagnosis: "Why do I keep losing my job?"

We know that language matters. Our word choice expresses ideas and meanings on the subjects we are speaking about. Link to blog in comments. #autism #education #teachers #earlyyears #disability #primaryschool #nurse

I'm still trying to workout what day of the week it is. Please let it be Friday!

Notes from an older autistic: Having a job is only part of the challenge. I've had lots of jobs. Keeping them and finding a suitable job for interests and qualifications while avoiding burn out leads to career breaks and are bunch of other problems. And forget promotion.

“Autism is having to understand other people before you understand yourself, and no one making the effort to understand you. Which even you don't understand, because all your effort has been spent understanding them." from Life in Autism World #actuallyautistic #autism #adhd #neurodivergent

How can you be a #Disability ally? Educate yourself. Follow creators, listen to a podcast, read a blog post. There is a ton of content out there, and this is one of the best ways you can show that you care! #DisabilitySky

How can you be a #Disability ally? Share the burden. For example, if you’re planning an activity with a service animal, call ahead to learn about accommodations.

How can you be a #Disability ally? Listen You don’t have to solve the problem, but try to understand. #DisabilitySky

Notes from an older autustic person. The ability to communicate without making eye contact is an important life skill as anyone who has had a conversation while driving should be able to tell you. The same applies to phones. But they are an evil device and should only be used for mobile data.

Notrs from an older autistic person. This is one of the most autistic songs I know. It is worth giving it a play if you are too young to remember youtu.be/Im3JzxlatUs?... Cars by Gary Numan. (Who is #ActuallyAutistic too.)

Good start to year as I got a PB in 5km according to Garmin. The Parkrun course seemed .1 of a mile too long though so no record on that. Yes thank to those crazy volunteers getting up on New Years Day.

That's it for Christmas day. Usual service will be resumed, . . . Later. . . Much Later.
