What I find interesting about this @nytimes.com piece is the contrast of the specificity of coverage of Israeli strikes (an oil refinery, no collateral damage recorded?!) versus the generality of detail of Iranian strikes (“buildings”, “neighbourhoods” etc.)

How is a culture rooted in sectarian hatred so quick to turn xenophobic? 😒 www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

Is there a worse customer experience anywhere in the world than trying to register to use the BP Pulse app? I don’t think so.

Just the IDF “inconveniencing” foreign diplomats by shooting at them, no biggie¡ www.rte.ie/news/middle-...

Irish cuisine has hit the TL

If you want an idea of how Israel’s Eurovision public (297pts) vote is completely unrelated to anything to do with music, consider that Yuval’s song, supposedly the most popular in Europe by a massive margin, has been streamed on Spotify 5.5M times. Switzerland’s Zoë Më (0 public pts), 4.5M streams.

The stock market is the imp on your shoulder saying "it's only 3am, the night is young, take another molly and Red Bull and see what happens." The bond market is the other imp saying "yeah but you've got a job interview at 8, and you don't even have clean underwear."

A lot of people asking if Elon Musk really did a Nazi salute are now very quiet as Twitter is the only place you can stream Kanye West's new song, "Heil Hitler."

for some additional perspective, US imports from china were an average of $1.2b PER DAY in 2023, which are still tariff'd at ~145% now. the US/UK trade "deal" is quite literally a rounding error in the scope of Trump's Tariffs

NEW from me: Trump’s trade “deal” with the UK is a farce—it only affects 0.3% of US imports, got basically no “concessions” from the UK, and barely lowered overall US tariff rates That’s an extremely bad sign for “deals” to come www.apricitas.io/p/farce-of-t...

Once again reminding everyone that all the Russiagate stuff was basically true and Trump just successfully covered it up and the media repeated his lies about it until everyone forgot! Something to think about!

Holy Crap, this seems to be real?

I was wondering how Irish new Canadian PM Mark Carney is, and then I discovered his siblings are called Seán, Brenda and Brian.

Carney. Albanese. Prevost. We’re uniting the world. 🇺🇸

Trump isn’t gonna like this.
