*cracks knuckles* The long and short of Skrmetti is that trans people are a vulnerable population (or in constitutional terms, a suspect class because: 1) they don't have a lot of political power 2) they dont have numbers 3) being trans is an immutable characteristic

The Supreme Court building says “Equal Justice Under the Law.” Meanwhile we have to protest to ensure trans kids can access necessary medical care.

I’m going to keep adding to this but good accounts to follow with sensible science advice. go.bsky.app/Vj5y6hk

So what are folks prepping, as inauguration creeps closer? I checked to make sure I’m up to date on my vaccines. I’m stocking up on extra water (and lifestraws just in case), masks and covid safety items, period products, fluoride mouthwash, pet food, canned goods, hygiene basics… What else?

Our long national nightmare of declining infectious disease deaths will soon come to an end

Are there any cuter sounds than the loud footsteps of a 9 lb cat stomping around the apartment or lapping up water out of a bowl that’s not hers?

I’m missing all the #epidemiologists and Covid conscious folks I used to follow on X. I want to hear about what the waste water data is telling us about #COVID trends. What’s the latest on #longcovid? And what’s not being widely reported about #H5N1? Where are those folks? #epidemiology

On tonight’s @ifnotnowmovement.org call, somebody shared a quote that really stuck with me: What is safety, if not the sound of bombs falling on other people’s heads?

Now’s a good time to order abortion pills to have on hand at home. You never know when you or a friend might need them in the future. Anybody can order them just in case: www.plancpills.org
