Advent Day 22: KWVR Ivatt 2MT 2-6-2T no. 41241 Our third to last entry is one of the prettiest locos I've seen regularly, the "Lady in Red" herself, 41241. The KWVR's star loco. She looks absolutely stunning in her red livery! I've had her a few times this year, but this shot was my favourite.

Used to love watching & listening to these pass my house on loaded mgr’s in the 80’s. On 2nd September 2014 the driver of Colas class 56 loco 56096 receives a clear green & applies the power and the grid thrashes past Water Orton working 6E07, the Washwood Heath to Boston steel. Lovely stuff

What’s better than a grid? Two grids & 6,500hp👌🏻 25th August 2015 DCR class 56 locos 56103 and 56312 approach Water Orton working 6Z34, the empty box wagons from Cardiff Tidal to Stockton service. Even though there was a fine drizzle falling there was no way I was missing this one. The noise😮😁
