For those who don't understand the differences between a) spending, b) cost and c) efficiency. Simply cutting spending is not "reducing cost" or improving "efficiency." It is, in most cases, reducing quality as measured by outcomes (because money matters) schoolfinance101.com/2012/01/11/d...

NEW from @marcelias.bsky.social: It seems that everyone is afraid — afraid that Donald Trump will target them next. But that's not a reason to cower and refuse to act.

Today’s show was my last at CNN. My closing message: It’s never a good time to bow down to a tyrant… don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to fear. Hold on to the truth… and hope.

I was on campaign calls last year with @kim.senate.gov and now Senator Elissa Slotkin. Positive experiences. Voted for Kim. Now couldn't be more disgusted and dejected by their votes for Noem for DHS. WTAF?! Is @aoc.bsky.social the ONLY one fighting for us?!

Good luck to humans wanting to have any idea what is the truth, what is really happening with anyone, anywhere, anytime. Off to toss my journalism degree in the trash and wipe all my content moderation work off my resume...

This, this, 1000x this!!! TY @minakimes.bsky.social

Pete Buttigieg is a badass.

Excellent. More of this please.

“McMahon has criticized DEI programs, writing in an op-ed published by Fox News this year that DEI provisions were ‘irrelevant to training skilled workers’ and that such policies ‘add costs and administrative burdens to all apprenticeship programs.’” www.nbcnews.com/politics/don...

If you're in a Democratic state, don't assume your rep is voting against HR 9495. I was shocked and deeply disappointed to see my rep @donaldnorcross.bsky.social voted for this bill the first time. I've already called to let him know my displeasure and have shared this w/my friends. Do the same!

Some thought-provoking stuff if you're interested in trying to understand why more American men, especially younger men, are turned off by the Democratic Party specifically and more generally are unhappy. Via @onthemedia.bsky.social pca.st/episode/0087...

Just to be clear: the incoming Trump administration is going to war against their own Republican senate majority and the constitution's advice and consent provision so they can make a man investigated for ***sex trafficking a minor*** into the most powerful law enforcement officer in the country.
