The Clash "London Calling," 1979 #Punk #UKPunk #PunkSky

The one thing I find frustrating about the #TeslaTakedown movement is that so many people just assume that most Tesla owners can just follow Sheryl Crow's performative Tesla swap. Selling a Tesla to someone else does nothing to keep it off the road or hurt Musk. It's more theater than activism.

One particularly insidious effect of imperialistic nationalism in one country is that it often sparks a nationalistic reaction in other countries that feel betrayed by an ally's nationalistic and imperialistic turn. (See Canadians responding to Trump, for example). Nationalism is a global disease.

Yes.

RFK, Jr. always makes me think of the rubbery hot dogs that have been left rotating on the roller machine in 7-11 and forgotten as they slowly dry out.

Trump calling Volodymyr Zelenskyy a dictator is like a hamburger calling a chunk of tofu "red meat."

Scene: A room with an expensive computer. Elon Musk runs in, pick up the computer, smashes it on the ground. Musk: Look how much I saved you! Homeowners: How the hell did you get in here!?

So...the official White House page just posted an image accompanied by a quote in which the president refers to himself as "The King." Unless he's selling flame grilled Whoppers with fries, this is deeply disturbing.

Shouldn’t the “Art of the Deal” include, you know, some art? Or, you know, an actual deal?

We really need an executive order declaring "Yakety Sax" the new national anthem.

The Orwellian mind games required to suggest that Ukraine started the war are absolutely insane. And yet, the man residing in the White House somehow convinced people to deny what they saw with their own eyes. A dystopian nightmare and one of the darkest periods in US history.

The bar for determining a “hot take” needs to be set higher. Too many people say “okay, hot take, but” before saying something extremely common and only marginally controversial. Like, “hot take: I think pineapple belongs on a pizza” just shouldn’t meet the standards of a Hot Take.

What a sad, sad thing—to ruin relations with an ally. Shameful.

Among the many troubling things in the MAHA Commission statement is the claim that a variety of "health burdens" (not concerns, mind you, BURDENS) including ADHD and autism spectrum disorders present "a dire threat to the American people and our way of life." 1/2

Good stuff!

Pennywise "Yesterdays" From the Ashes, 2003 #Punk #USPunk #PunkSky

The new regime has undone nearly a century of international cooperation in less than a month. Disgraceful, shameful, pathetic, reckless, and wrong.
