Weekly reminder that no matter what our government mandates, or what Congress legislates, or what the dictator dictates, the constitution of Mother Nature is immune to the petty opinions of people. Her spectrum is far too vast for the simple binaries of American politics.

Bernie Sanders is the single longest-serving Independent in Congress. In a country that has grown weary of the partisan dialectic, Sanders has provided a clear, consistent, coherent voice for decades. I listen for the consistent, coherent voices to gain clarity and set proper priorities.

"There was no dissolving the fear over the most important matters if one does not know the whole of nature, but one who worries about the myths; since without the study of nature there was no receiving the pure pleasures." (Epicurus, Key Doctrine 12)

Many figures prior to the savior of Christian worship were called ΣΩTHP (σωτήρ or sōtḗr, "Savior"). This included a dozen Hellenistic kings, generals, the Greek gods, and even a philosopher. Epicurus, himself, was called a "Savior" by his students for having saved them from the evil of superstition.

"It is not possible to acquire a free life by a lot of money [made] through an unscrupulous means [nor] is [it possible] without servility to the mob or authority..." (Epicurus, Vatican Saying 67)
