Ltr: I am genuinely of opinion that we could stop producing clothes altogether right now and we'd be fine for YEARS. Not even "getting by with unfashionable clothes" but still being able to choose ones that fit you and go with your personal style. The amount we already produced is simply THAT high.

I strongly encourage folks to pay attention to the material and quality of what they buy, to learn how to mend your own clothes (and maybe basic tailoring too if you can!), and build up a collection of clothes you actually love instead of whatever is on trend.

One of the glorious strengths of DE was how it was able to effortlessly imply rich internal lives and backstories even with background characters. The kids were no exception, if only you allowed yourself to be interested in them. It's sad how many players dismissed them as simply annoying brats
