I don't know why, but my discover feed is full of cartoon drawings of women/girls. I'm blocking every single one where the clothing is sexualised and/or the woman looks more like a child. So far that's every single one. Bear please.

Last night I had a dream that I can't quite remember but that won't leave me. One of those ones where you're seeking something, along with your dream family but a little sideways... I've spent the day feeling off- kilter and would very much like to pick up where I left off. Damn you, brain.

notaphase.org In light of recent developments I feel actions will do more good than just words. #EqualityandInclusion #transwomenarewomen #transmenaremen

Incredibly well said.

You have got to be kidding me? 🤬😡 The current UK government/home office is as bad as the last lot. For shame. Afghan rights defender told she faces ‘no risk’ from Taliban as Home Office denies asylum www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

Yesterday on my home visits I saw a stream running past someone's house, a squirrel nibbling a nut under a tree, and this rather splendid door wreath. Hello spring!

I mean, they're not as outwardly vile as the Cons, but Labour are not the party of the people and that's for sure! Bunch of Tuesdays.

I remember when Johnson and his cabal were on charge, feeling impotent and sad/furious. Now I'm just glad/relieved I don't live in America, as you're going through the same-but-horrifically-worse.

I know this first hand. When I was a child, my entire community was branded as spies and sabateurs, justifying our internment inside barbed wire camps for years without due process, trial or charge.

I mean, NHS England is labrynthine, but is anyone else suspicious of which private healthcare firm will be given the contact for its replacement (and how much that firm will have donated to Wes Streeting)? www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cx...

Bloody hell - this is just off the coast near where I live. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cg...

The Times using its front page to let us know how environmentally bad avocados are cos they clear rainforests to grow them and they use 320 litres of water to grow. They’re going to lose their shit when they hear about beef, right?

This weekend I learned that the "tinnitus" I get from time to time is just hearing electricity; mum + sister both do it too. So there's that. Pretty useless skill, tbh.

It should have been Steve. #GreatPotteryThrowdown

This was the most emo thing I have seen/heard in my entire life - I loved it!! The orchestra and singers gave us their absolute all & were magnificent. (the less said about the set design and direction, the better, however). #TheFlyingDutchman #OperaNorth

Spent 20 mins straightening my hair this morning... Then went for a 2 hour walk in the rain, so that wasn't at all a waste of time 😬🙄 The walk was delightful though. There were trees, geese and pigeons.

My hot take, following 1st #Mozart #opera. The man could write a song! Fabulous stuff. Writing a coherent plot however - utterly beyond his capabilities. The magic flute plotline is a hot mess. The performers though ( #NorthernOpera) - incredible. Much applause due. Genuinely wanted to shout Huzzah.

We're in the nosebleeds / gods: this is what you get for buying tickets last minute 😅 Still v. excited! #TheMagicFlute #NewcastleTheatreRoyal

I'm joining a Fat Club tonight (needs must) so in anticipation of the low fat eating from tomorrow I've just polished off 3/4 of a bag of deep fried tofu puffs. Well worth it!
