One of the things that has helped me create heavy emotional scenes has been drawing from past experiences and the fact that I replay fictional conversations in my head all the time. “Should’ve said this and that” type deal.

I learned the other day that the name “Laohz” from my book series has a real life counterpart small town in Spain. Just want to say that I never thought this would be a thing when I came up with the name and I made no connections to the real place in my book. Anything that is is purely coincidence

I don’t know if this happens to others, but if I come up with a scene that is further along in the book, I cannot bring myself to write it down. I need to actually make my way to it because otherwise I will probably deviate from the scene altogether or find issues getting there. I prefer the mystery

Been doing some internal inventory of characters in the second book and a character that was part of the first draft ended up getting chopped out of the story and another one is set to take its place. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
