i think half of "talent" is just a person happening to have fun doing whatever it is they're supposedly talented at, and not hating it. i was "talented" at art at age 3 but if i'd stopped drawing at age 3 because i found it tedious or unrewarding, i'd probably pretty much draw like a 3-year-old now

With the demise of Joann’s, there’s lots of recs of WHERE to shop online for fabric but not HOW. I highly rec The Swatch Book and Textilepedia for this — the former with REAL swatches of common fibers and their weave options and the latter for the language and application options to help search.
