Belgian, avid reader, music and film snob (somewhat), trying to be environmentally conscious, yet love to travel, into hiking (but moderate in difficulty and adventurousness), recently became slave to dapper tuxedo duo Bert & Ernie. Meow.

My phone is malfunctioning. Since late September almost all my pictures are black and white… #catsky

This seemingly innocent little panther was headhunting my bedroom window at 5AM last night, probably feeling rather peckish. And I fear he has learned by now how to open the door…

Elon—the richest man on Earth—is gutting the world’s largest provider of food aid. He could end world hunger single-handedly and still be the richest man alive. But he won’t. Instead, he spent 40 million on Super Bowl ads attacking USAID! Stand with USAID: share this counter-ad…

Bert scratchpoledancing and Ernie just loafing #skycats

Ernie demands pets

First film of the year. Flow, a beautiful journey of a cat in a world void of humans and struggling with a biblical flood. #filmsky youtu.be/8Q5-BGbGsPQ?...

#currentlyreading First newly started books of the year: Miranda July’s hyped “All Fours”, not without merit, but it drags a little and the always lovely Tove Jansson with the posthumous anthology “A winter book”. But I picked up Osman’s The Bullet that Missed from the library.

Rest in peace David Lynch. If there’s an afterlife he could give a intriguing spin to it, I bet.

Did your child lose their book collection in the Los Angeles fires? Are you a teacher at a school that lost its library or your classroom library? Whether you need one book or a whole library, we can replace your books. 📚 Everyone else, please boost this post so we can connect with those in need. 🙏

Ondertussen censuurt Meta “we gaan niet meer aan factchecking of censuur doen” mijn cartoon over X. Dan maar hier nog eens delen.

Ernie has come a long way to become a cuddly cat. #cats #skycats

#currentread Joseph Roth’s “The Radetzky March”, to end the year with a classic. #booksky

🎶Sleep Like An Egyptian🎶

Intriguing retelling of the Nibelungen saga, focusing on the women. Beautifully drawn too. #booksky #graphicnovel

Working from home can be dangerous. #catsky #skycats #Bertattacks

#currentread Kolymsky Heights by Lionel Davidson, if Philip Pullman says that it’s the best thriller he has read, it’s worth a try. Even though I don’t like quotes on the front cover. Covers should only feature the title, author, perhaps the publisher and the cover art. Plus maybe the series title.

Bert telling me to go to bed, because I’m in his sleeping spot.

Ernie remains a little distant and can’t be picked up, but he does come on over for cuddles and skin scratches when he wants #cats #catsky #skycats

Dreaming of a free Palestine, a a free Afghanistan, a free Iran, a free Egypt, dreaming of the day I can visit my own homeland for the first time, dreaming of the day my father can return home, dreaming of the day we can choose our own fates without dictators and colonists trampling upon us.

Current read: Colson Whitehead’s The Nickel Boys. I was gunning for something more straightforward, less dreamy after Kavan’s Ice. #currentread #booksky

Working from home has become a bit more animated. #cats #catsky

Ever wondered why walking around museums is weirdly tiring? At normal speed our legs act like pendulums, swinging forward from the hip & saving us a huge amount of energy. In "museum shuffle" our muscles must do ALL the work of constant readjustment. So cake in the cafe is scientifically justified 🥳

Busy evening #cats #catsky

Two things I love in one adorable little pic...💙💙 #cats #books #CatsOfBluesky #booksky #love

Next read: Anna Kavan’s Ice. Although so far it’s only raining outside. #booksky

I can't think of a suitable title for this, suggestions welcome
