Back to everyday (wild)life.

"Changing Planes" by Ursula K Le Guin is an amazing collection of texts, full of imagination, a sense of wonder for human nature, and a great piece of fiction anthropology. 🪐📚💙

Fires are always a tragedy, but I'm really baffled by how the news only show Hollywood mansion fires. They've even used dramatic music, as if I should cry for Paris Hilton's trillion dollar property. I'm having a hard time finding any empathy for the richest. How's the rest of LA doing?

I love rhythm games. My sister-in-law told me every K-Pop company has its own game and I have gone down a tremendous rabbit hole of obsessive tapping to beautiful men singing in Korean. #Kpop #Rhythm #Games

Siento que la situación en Latinoamérica está llegando a un punto de quiebre insostenible, que desatará una inevitable rebeldía, y que el precio humano lo pagarán, como siempre las víctimas de la vigencia de Estados incompetentes y criminales. Me duele y me asusta.

I'm not sure where the followers in this app come from, or what I'm expected to say, but hey! 👋🏽

No soy el tío raro de las fiestas nomás porque no tengo hermanos.

"Tenar sighed. There was nothing she could do, but there was always the next thing to be done." - 'Tehanu', Ursula K. Le Guin 🪐📚💙

"'Oh!' she said. 'This is a bad time – a time when even such a name can go unheard, can fall like a stone! Is listening not power?" - "Tehanu", Ursula K. Le Guin 🪐📚💙

Feliz navidad, habitantes de estos azules firmamentos.

Mi pequeño espíritu tropical aún no se acostumbra al frío y a la nieve. Estos paisajes se sienten surrealistas.

Javier Bardem’s fuckass bob in No Country for Old Men deserved its own Oscar

I miss breathing through both of my nostrils 🥲

Crazy watching Home Alone 2 and realizing Donald Trump is now the "president" of the USA.

We're spending Christmas in the Alps (ohlala). Today I had lunch looking at the snowy mountains, and I couldn't help but wonder: "How did I get here? When did I, young tropical boy, leave my comfort zone which seemed impossible some years ago?" My only regret is that the air hurts my face, bc winter

when I was a kid I heard another kid arguing about why he had to do service for others in the gurudwara and his parent was like "if you won't help others what is the point of you" and I've never forgotten that line.

Ursula's "Seasonal Quatrains" appear in Finding My Elegy (published in 2012 by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt).

One of the very few things I've done that I think is actually kind of spooky. Photo with phone--Background is actually quite a bit darker than it appears here.

Crocheting last minute gifts should be considered a high risk Olympic sport. My hands are shaking with adrenaline (and carpal tunnel syndrome probs).

The eternal struggle of loving my long hair and absolutely despising to thoroughly washing it and brushing it. I just go "I should shave my head" every two days, but the curls are just too cute.

If you see anyone talking about how the Amazon strike could disrupt the flow of packages:

David Tennant never disappoints

If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead, who would it be? J.R.R. Tolkien

I woke up at 3 am and haven't been able to go back to sleep. It is now 4:48, and I have to get up early. But the thought of getting less and less rest doesn't let me sleep. Guess I'll go back to reading Kropotkin on my cell.

Feliz miércoles chicas
