My last repost is exactly how I’ve felt about Bluesky! People are so wonderful and kind here, but the constant stream of bad news is overwhelming and makes me feel less empowered.

It's been tough to look at Bluski lately. It feels like I'm visiting a friend who I like but who's constantly telling me about all the horrible things going on in the world and with them personally, just a constant stream of Very Bad Stuff.

One thing before tomorrow: Use your local libraries. Get your card. Borrow books, manga, films, audios, ebooks. Recommend titles for purchase (usually online). Attend promoted activities. Fill out those "How are we doing?" questionnaires. Tell your kids that libraries are good. They are. 📚

This isn't a culture war. This is the only trans congresswoman, ever being bullied through the press and legislation, and having only 1 of hundreds of colleagues stand up for her. They can do more than 1 thing at a time. Defending her will not take so much effort that they can't do their jobs.
