This Thursday, Feb 27th at 5:30pm at Jersey City Hall (280 Grove St) Here’s some homework for Jersey City folks on bluesky, talk to your neighbors and let them know about this rally! Print out KYR materials and share them on your block. No action is too small! ✊🏽

📢 Hudson County DSA, @32bjseiu.bsky.social, and Cosecha NJ will be holding a rally standing with our immigrant neighbors. 🗓️ Thursday, February 27th at 5:30 p.m. 📍 In front of Jersey City Hall – 280 Grove St.

I’m distraught that ICE is ramping up efforts in Jersey City. However, it’s time to act- this Thursday at 5:30pm at Jersey City Hall come stand in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors. Come one, come all! No action is too small! hudsoncountyview.com/letter-ice-d...

In the United States we, quite famously, don’t answer to a king.

“The thing that I can’t get over is that the actual richest man in the world directed my fucking firing. I make $50k a year and work to keep drinking water safe. The richest man in the world decided that was an expense too great for the American taxpayer.”

Resistance is a marathon, not a sprint, and it’s important to practice self-care. That’s why I’m really looking forward to our all-levels-welcome yoga event with @houseofhorus.bsky.social in downtown Jersey City! Space is limited; RSVP today at secure.actblue.com/donate/febyoga

Another great day signing up people to our petition for better PATH service on weekends! @eleanalittle.bsky.social 20-minute waits between trains at Exchange Place are agonizing, especially when it's not synchronized with the HBLRT schedule.

We had fun learning about tea-drinking cultures around the world from our #JerseyCity neighbors at the 2nd annual Jersey City Free Public Library DiversiTEA event yesterday!

The future of Hudson County politics looks bright to me ☀️

“The goal was never to just create a progressive alternative to the HCDO, the goal is to move away from machine politics altogether”. We’re building something better 💪

Happy (belated) Lunar New Year! I had a great time ringing in the Year of the Snake today at the TongYan School's Lunar New Year Culture Fair at Ferris High School in downtown #JerseyCity!

This is a national emergency:

As we bid a sad farewell to the Jersey Journal, I was honored to be able to speak with journalist Teri West on the state of machine politics and the progressive movement in Hudson County as part of their “Final Words” series: www.nj.com/hudson/2025/...

Yesterday I joined the People’s State of the City, along with tenant organizers and advocates, to call for #JerseyCity to build more affordable housing, enforce tenant protections, stabilize taxes, ensure safe streets, and improve essential city services. hudsoncountyview.com/ali-mcgreeve...

I was glad to attend the annual Jersey City NAACP breakfast yesterday honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and local Black leaders. We left feeling inspired by incredible speakers who honored the great civil rights leaders of the past while challenging us to fight for a better present and future.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS: if you are approached by ICE officers, you DO NOT owe them anything!! Follow the guides below if you encounter ICE officers. @maketheroadnj.bsky.social Please like and share to protect your loved ones!

We stand by anyone targeted by these warrantless raids made possible by the Trump administration's xenophobic and racist policies, and applaud Mayor @rasjbaraka.bsky.social who noted that among the detainees was a military veteran. ow.ly/18a550UMgXv

Happy to support @katiebrennan.bsky.social at her campaign launch for State Assembly! Katie is a housing policy expert and activist for protections for survivors of SA. She’s also an advocate for environmental resiliency and improved mass transit. She’s the representation we need in Trenton!

Rest in Peace, Cianna Lee. A heartbreaking loss to senseless gun violence. Jersey City must do more to prevent young lives being cut short like this. Please consider donating to support her family: www.gofundme.com/f/support-ci...

Thermometers don't lean right or left, they just measure temperature. This is a disappointing reflection of what #science, technology & human suffering related to extreme events will mean to the Administration. #climatechange is real and it's happening Also, grocery store prices are still high.

In case you didn’t know- this is an official @eleanalittle.bsky.social stan account! I’m happy to host a meet and greet at my home on Sunday, Jan 26th from 4-6pm in support of Eleana as she’s on the campaign trail for City Council! bit.ly/eleana1-26

The best of the best right here. I’m proud to support @eleanalittle.bsky.social as my future councilperson! 🤍

Yes, the richest man in the world did a nazi salute at the presidential inauguration. Twice. Horrifying.

Knitty Gritty JC is now on Bluesky. Today we said “Not Our Inauguration.” We honored the life and legacy of Dr. MLK Jr. As we continue to fight for Justice and freedom today and every day.

Knitty Gritty JC weekend of resistance. Honoring Dr. MLK J

Today Knitty Gritty JC and friends braved the cold to build community, honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and fortify ourselves against the oncoming threats to our freedoms, communities, and democracy.

I was proud to join People’s Organization for Progress and over 300 New Jersey organizations at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. March of Resistance in Newark today. Together we committed to continue Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s fight for racial and economic justice.

Water main break on Grand Street in Downtown #JerseyCity

The target Zero Bill is now law! Great work to all the advocates who brought us here.

🙏🕊️

New law creates panel to cut traffic deaths to zero within 15 years. N.J. had 691 traffic fatalities last year, including 223 pedestrians, the most in 3+ decades. “These are not simply statistics. They are tragedies that no family will ever truly recover from." newjerseymonitor.com/2025/01/13/n...

Happy (almost) New Year! Tonight is our first major fundraising deadline, and we are so close to reaching our goal. Can I count on you to make a contribution before midnight? This campaign relies on everyday people, and every little bit helps. secure.actblue.com/donate/elean...

Heartbreaking. The solution to homelessness is not cruelty. It’s housing.

What a legacy. May he rest in peace. 🙏

Many thanks to @wineocracy.bsky.social, Courtney & Eliot for hosting last night’s meet & greet, and to all who attended or otherwise supported! We had some great conversations; thank you for sharing your concerns & ideas about development, affordable housing, mass transit, pedestrian safety & more.

Today Ward E Council member and mayoral candidate James Solomon announced his support for our City Council campaign. I’m honored that he trusts me to represent the people of Ward E in this role that I know means so much to him, and I’m excited to work together to put the people of Jersey City first!

Today marks 5 years since the antisemitic mass shooting in Jersey City. We mourn Det. Joseph Seals, Mindy Ferentz, Moshe Deutsh, Douglas Miguel Rodriguez, and Michael Rumberger. May their memories be a blessing. May we all recommit to stand against hate, wherever we may find it.
