Have a look at our new story on how Bacterial Cellulose works miracles in plant wound healing by activating regeneration via concurrent activation of ROS, defense and cytokinin signalling. In collaboration with @cbgpmadrid.bsky.social @icmabcsic.bsky.social www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Today is a big day for our group. Jeppe is defending his PhD thesis regarding autophagy modulation of Ethylene and Auxin regulators

jobportal.ku.dk/phd/?show=16... We are looking for a PhD student interested in autophagy and flooding. Come join us in wonderful Copenhagen!

Thrilled to share our work lead by Di Fino in great collaboration with @Panosmoschou,@Hamann_lab, @GreenMechanobio, @RichardSmithLab published @Dev_Cell: Developmental Cell www.cell.com/developmenta...

😱 How to know that somebody used ChatGPT to apply to your lab: They refer to a study that does not exist but was hallucinated by the machine! #plantscience

Fantastic new paper in @naturecomms.bsky.social by the group of Alyona Minina about how "ATG8 delipidation is not critical for autophagy in plants" #autophagy #proteostasis #plantscience www.nature.com/articles/s41...

A fan of #Bryophytes? You are (almost) not alone! #Bryophytes rule...they can grow almost anywhere, host a fascinating world of #microbes (incl. #nitrogen-fixing #Cyanobacteria), are key in #biogeochemistry, and hold huge potential for #biotechnology. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Beautiful Brassicaceae fruit-shape diversity. And here we tell you (part of) how it’s done! rdcu.be/d3i8x What a great collab it’s been! Thanks Yang Dong, @matmajda.bsky.social, Richard Smith and entire team. @natureplants.bsky.social @oxfordbiology.bsky.social @johninnescentre.bsky.social

NEW #Preprint on #ATG8 specialization in #autophagy in #plants: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1... #plantscience A short 🧡

The end of the year dinner from our group. Wishes another year of exciting research, education and camaraderie:)

New preprint from the Estelle lab! A subset of Aux/IAA repressors are regulated by CUL3-based ubiquitin ligases. Great work by two fantastic colleagues, Zhaonan Ban and Yueh-Ju Hou!

We got a nice return from our applications to the Danish research council this year. 2 grants awarded to study a) lateral root formation and b) how protein turnover impacts flooding tolerance. Check this space soon for 2 PhD positions.

DORA comes out strong in support of @elife.bsky.social, criticizing Clarivate, a multi-billion dollar multinational for-profit outfit, for holding the academic community "to ransom". sfdora.org/2024/11/25/c...

Excited to share that our research on the SCF E3 ubiquitin ligase interactome in plants is now published in New Phytologist and featured as the cover of the current issue! 🌱 @newphyt.bsky.social #ubiquitin #proteostasis nph.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/share/CA8XRQ...

I made a starter pack for the plant proteostasis community - please let me know if I missed someone to add new members #proteostasis

Intriguing viewpoint. I have started refusing to review unless there's a preprint, which leads me to reject most review requests. My next step might be accepting only if they are fine with me posting my review as a comment on the preprint.

In our latest work, we provide molecular insights into the age-dependent morphological changes occurring in the root meristem during phase change. Perseverance over many years by BaoJun Yang and Yanbiao Sun. Generous funding by ERC, FWO, VIB and UGent #plantscience www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Latest from our group. We show that BZR1 directly regulates ARF7&19 to promote pluripotency and callus formation. Work in collaboration with Hardtke_Lab.
