I think everyone is like 'they must be stupid/mad in the USA for this government', because people think they are super smart/sane and you know what, I'm not so sure

I've got to sort my paint out, see what I need to order; don't wanna

I can't repost it because no alt text, but attempts to extort Ukraine by the USA are categorically not a new tactic, it's just regular old colonialism. Only difference is the victims are white, I think?

JUST USE ALT TEXT

Why. Why do I have to phone someone to start a pip application?

Remember My Name is *heartbreaking*

spoiler: the answer it spat out was from an already published paper but the BBC is basically the yellow pages for llm scams at this point so that part was conveniently left out of this piece

As tradition dictates, I am listening to the soundtrack to The Mission and drawing

It's been lovely today 🌞 I felt good, wandering around town

Dealing with family on Facebook teaches us to grit our teeth, but that doesn't mean I have to 'get on' with racists in public spaces

It's not impolite or something to point out a Nazi; they give themselves away by being Nazis

Nothing stands between the soul and God: not reason, virtue, good works, or even the sacraments. Marguerite Porete (14th Century Beguine)

I knew I would probably love it, but Sam Fender's new album is pretty amazing

It's also important to like know where you're at. If you're in crisis, your thresholds are a lot lower re what could cause a spiral, maybe?

Why is alt text so important? It’s not only great for accessibility and people with slow connections—it also benefits everyone: it allows your posts to be searched for what’s in the alt text and people can mute posts they don’t want to see.

Read a review of Sam Fender's new album at lunchtime, and the comments were a bit 😬 lots of older men being like 'ok, I'll maybe deign to give some of my precious attention to him'. As if he himself cares?!

Did you know, the record number of birds found in one nest box was 61 Wrens? 👀 They are very small, but that's still a lot of Wrens! Do you have a nest box? Who would be your dream birdy tenants? #ThoughtfulThursday

Mum's got the flu, so of course, she's watching YouTube videos about Amish fellas repossessing sheds in America. Truly, we live in extraordinary times

Social prescribing has been around for ages - it might even have a place; but it can't replace meds, where they're needed. The idea that meds are an easy way out, cheating, unnecessary, is poisonous - and this plays to that ideology

I'm going to have a cuppa. It had better fix everything

😡

Gonna need more non-disabled people to see stuff like this and understand that ableism is also one of the integral -isms the right is devoted to, so it should be jettisoned whenever and in whomever you encounter it

I am terrified of sinkholes. What're they about?

Respect the laws of the state but let your first loyalty be to God’s purposes. If you feel impelled by strong conviction to break the law, search your conscience deeply. Ask your meeting for the prayerful support which will give you strength as a right way becomes clear. Advices & Queries 35 (BYM)

I'm glad an arrest was made, as appropriate. Legislation should protect Woman, 74, arrested for alleged breach of exclusion zone around Glasgow abortion clinic www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

On this day in 1988, 20,000 LGBTQ people and our allies marched through the streets of Manchester to protest Section 28, which tried to stifle all mention of our lives. At the time it was the largest gay rights gathering ever. Pic: The crowd seen from the top of the Town Hall. #LGBT+HistoryMonth

Yes!!! Don't get me started on the damage done by 'positivity' and 'wellness', as well. The commodification of feeling good is bad, I think. And it gets blurred with treatment for mental illness: they're not the same

I did not have Fun in London. It was Too Much, all the time. Physically and mentally. It's really sad! I love to see art and stuff

Who does this. It would be Lincolnshire www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
