open.spotify.com/track/0Pa3UB... The ways in which I love this song

2 episodes is very much more than enough for me. Bilge.

Unexpected Star Wars - Steve Earle combo.

I see the commentator describes that as a 'high lunging challenge'. Not just the referee with big club bias.

The writers of Zero Day were banking on a different election result, huh

So, googling a film with the word 'showtimes' doesn't work any longer. Rubbish.

Despite a weak start I ended up really enjoying the Netflix adaptation of '100 Years of Solitude '. It's far from perfect but captures a certain something. It's finally prodded me into rereading it almost 3 decades since I read it at uni.

If there's a better way to spend a mild February Saturday afternoon than seeing Walthamstow scoring 5 against league leaders Felixstowe then I'd like to hear about it. (Respectful veil drawn over their 3 goals.)

These New Puritans gig klaxon!

Today I have been mainly listening to Welsh language indie pop

I see what you did there, NYT Connections.

Where's all the chit chat about the new Eimear McBride?

Ooh. New Delines and Dawson tomorrow!

Pretty sure that 'The Order' I just watched on Prime is a different film to 'The Order' that a bunch of people saw at the cinema a few weeks ago. Whole, sum, parts, etc

There is no god.

Utter woke nonsense.

Just seen Georgi Kinkladze in Leytonstone Tesco buying a sausage roll. #cupfever

Was quite surprised by how a bit shit 'Nosferatu' was.

I think there mitre been a better way to go about this.

Received good news yesterday afternoon and went to a great gig in the evening. Frank Black ripped through Teenager of the Year in its entirety in magnificent form.

For years Andy Holt was seen as one of the good guys and it's worrying I think he probably still has a lot of lower league fans that respect or listen to him. Truth is he has also become a radicalised old bastard like so many and like so many it was probably always there

Possibly the most incongruous in the round gig ever but The Johnny Halifax Invocation were pretty marvellous tonight at the Walthamstow Free Trades Hall tonight.

Might be slightly pissed. Am about to watch some Aruban football. Division di honor innit.

Chekhov's Archbishop of Baghdad

Thus far (I'm 2 episodes in) 'American Primeval' seems to mainly consist of people making very bad decisions.

January in music. #waslistening

'Rita' is a hard hitting mix of horror tropes & fairy tale magical realism that tells the horrific real life story of a children's shelter in Guatemala City. Maybe not as fully realised as 'La Llorona' it still shows that Jayro Bustamante is a real talent.

If you're up for watching a film about the hippos that Pablo Escobar imported into Colombia then 'Pepe' is just the film for you. Unlike anything I'd seen before its mix of realism, nature film and talking hippos makes for a fascinating couple of hours.

'Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1' is strangely old-fashioned, badly paced and feels like a miniseries rather than an epic movie but is somehow still watchable even if it's only because you're waiting to see it all coalesce together.

Almodóvar in English just seems to be less than the sum of its parts. 'The Room Next Door' - un film de Almo-dón't-var.

Lovely crisp January afternoon. Cracking game of football with Walthamstow deservedly coming out on top with a cheeky pint on the way home.

Ah, yes. Thursday. Traditional day for big league one matches.

Weirdly, this morning I received an email telling me that the Checkatrade swerved me.

Hints of new Whigs...

Shockingly, I seem to have forgotten how to cook rice properly
