re 3/5 clause i think there’s a decent amount of confusion about the clause because some ppl depict it as an affirmative gesture to strengthen slavery rather than as a compromise with evil/act of appeasement on the part of those who opposed slavery but not as much as they supported a constitution

it’s very social media that people have dug themselves into foxholes arguing about the specific word oligarchy as if there aren’t people working for sanders and AOC who also worry the term itself is too academic - something i am certain is true because debates like that always happen internally.
