I am at the weirdly nervous stage of larp organizing where everything is on track, four weeks before the larp. Everything is going fine, things are on track and communication with the players are mostly one sided, with me sending them small updates.

We are getting chickens this summer. That means selecting chicken breed. I want the most metal chicken breed. The most metal breed is Ayman Cemani. First picture. Just look at them. They are so goth and metal that Edgar Allan Poe could have written about them. They are ultimately metal.

This years Nordic Larp Knutepunkt convention book just dropped. Stunning work covering everything from grief, neurospicy sexuality, how to start a larp school and pacing. nordiclarp.org/wiki/Anatomy...

Today I am a guest at the excellent game design podcast Dice Exploder. Each episode the dissect a game design mechanic in depth. They qre mainly a indie tabletop rpgs but right now they are doing an season on larp an I am discussing Shadows @diceexploder.com #larp #nordiclarp #ttrpg #gamedesign

If you're curious about the spaces, costumes, and effects of the Odysseus Larp runs in 2024, there is now a mini-documentary edited from in-game video footage. Experience the magic! youtu.be/-6xNUyijCis?...

Best decision so far this year: Joining the local craft club for 500 sek (45ish € or USD). I get free access to wood/metal working workshop, sewing studio, yarn studio, looms silversmithing studio, glass fusion studio. AND THEY GOT A GEM POLISHING MACHINE. I NEVER DONE ANYTHING AS SATISFYING EVER.

Newly dyed again. This last year been partially coloring my hair blue. No bleach, just a Manic Panic midnight blue on top of my dark brown hair. It has been a few months since the last round of dye, but now I feel almost at home again. Like this sort of low key alternative queer blue

The pleasant feeling when you have a larp sign up running and you realize that you seem to get just tge right number of sign ups. Filling the larp but not turning anyone away. (We aim for 24 sign ups, might end up slightly more then that but we can take on a few more without issue)

Dom som överlever är ett lajv som handlar att ta ifrån någon deras liv. Det är ett psykologiskt skäcklajv om förräderi, vänskap och att förlora sin mänsklighet. domsomoverlever.wordpress.com #larp #lajv

Just because I am curious If you had to get one of our two dog breeds: Russian Black Terrier or Australian Cattle Dog Which one would you get and why? (Ignoring that they are two quite extreme breeds and you probably wont be getting either of them)

I love this 200 year old egyptian floor mosaic for a multitude of reasons: 1. Ancient egyptians could do photo realistic art. They just didn't use it in religious context. But for dog shaming it was perfectly fine.

As a player and game runner I delight in playing antagonist and just nasty characters. I think having villains is important and there is an art to playing them. boldandvulnerable.wordpress.com/2020/08/16/p... #larp #ttrpg

For me larping, exercise and body image intersect in interesting ways. Two weeks ago a chased people through the woods at a horror larp. I was exhaused. My hands shook for two hours after the chase from pure fatigue. But it reminded me how much I love getting exhaused and exhausting myself.

What do you think about pacing for emotional intensity at larps? Either or both as a player or as an organizer? Is it important? What experiences of pacing that worked well for you and pacing that didnt work for you? What is your approach to it? #larp

So this weekend I was chasing people in a full monster costumes on jester stils and forearm crutches in 30 cm of snow in the dark under. The photos are without stilts and forwarms. The many fabrics stips are ment to breake up the human silhouette and amplify all moments by swaying.

So Elin, what have you been doing? Well, I spent this week mastering how to run on juggler stilts and forearm crutches in a snow storm so I can scare people at a horror larp saturday

So what should I do with a first post? Perhaps just add my blog to show that I am real. boldandvulnerable.wordpress.com
