Luckily he gave us a good warning, we were planning on moving anyways when my wife finishes her education but this just adds to the pressure and speeds up the timeframe.

They are exactly that, but I also know us living, being happy and free makes people like them mad, and knowing this makes it a little easier to move on in life.

This sounds exactly like my ex, almost 1 to 1. When I finally got the courage to break it she went after my friends and my financial stability stole about 1000+ from me. Im lucky my now wife was warned because like clockwork she tried to insert herself between me and her.
