Become unfathomable (I wish he’d stop doing this)

Bearing in mind that the Amazon boycott should be total and permanent, this is a really useful site: ethicalrevolution.co.uk/amazon-alter...

Thinking of switching to a fairphone 5 from iphone. Does anyone have one and recommend? Do they last longer if repaired than the 5 years they advertise. I kind of expect at least 5 years but apparently that’s a good amount of time 🤷‍♀️? The battery life, security & camera quality are my main concerns.

Just to add too,my system also safeguards true autonomy against abuse and coercion in a slightly different way to our current one, which would be a stronger safeguard against the interpersonal pressure concerns people have with VAD.So this thread primarily addresses the expansion concern re the bill.

Just to add to this, I’m still not a supporter of the current bill for all the reasons I’ve said before- I am most concerned about it slipping into involuntary euthanasia through legal challenges under the Equality Act, & the issues in mental healthcare that will worsen, & I remained concerned.(1/4)

Think I’ve found a way to safeguard and integrate VAD into my idea for legal capacity, whilst still safeguarding it & not disrupting suicide prevention/ED treatment, so that’s good. I’m less invested in the outcome of this bill now which is probably good for my mental health.

Important ND news: The right to choose framework is set to change irrevocably from the shorter than NHS service waiting lists, to the choice of the Integrated Health Board as to when you are seen for assessemnt. This will have huge impacts on many ND people who access diagnoses via RTC.

I see distressing/disturbing NDEs are in the news (Mirror article) with a, relatively speaking, respectful discourse on the different understands of them (materialists vs spiritualist/parapsychological interpretations). I’ve read quite a lot on NDE research over the years.

New post on the significance of stopping Spectrum 10k. substack.com/home/post/p-...

Really struggling with the barely contained undercurrent of ableism that permeates, just under the surface, the world views of so many in spiritual & parapsychological spaces. Everything is contrasted with or juxtaposed with disability & madness as lesser untruth.
