Morning, this is Calycanthus ‘Venus’ - I love the flowers, just wish they were as scented as my other Calycanthus which has the most amazing scent of spiced oranges, but a really little brown flower! Early morning tying up tomato plants, now to some planting. Have a great day.🤍

Morning, the red flower of the tree peony Paeonia delavayi captured yesterday before the rain. We brought this with us 10 yrs ago as a blackened stick in a pot. It’s a star in the garden now. Wish I’d captured the morning chorus today, magnificent!

Morning, my first rose to flower. This is Olivia Rose Austin, a David Austin rose named after his granddaughter. I bought it because first our two daughters are named Olivia and Rosie and secondly because it has a lovely fruity fragrance. Have a lovely weekend.

From the hacked about sorry state it was in when we moved in… the best it’s ever been. The scent…

Morning, the glorious leaves of my favourite Acer in a pot this is Acer palmatum ‘Ariadne’ a reticulated leaf Acer, meaning you can see the veins on the leaf. It is the most glorious spring colour. I keep thinking I’ll plant it in the ground🤔#AcerHoarder

Morning. I love these flowers on the large shrub Kolkwitzia amabilis or beauty bush. This one was quite small here when we moved in 10 years ago. Has grown and is now 3m high, but the long arching stems flower all the way down starting off dark pink getting paler as they open.🌸

Morning, the clear white blossom of the small shrub Deutzia gracilis Nikko with light almond fragrance currently flowering outside Matt’s workshop. We are off to buy wood today for his next project, I haven’t seen his design, but sounds interesting. Have a lovely day.

Morning, this is the rather lovely flowering hawthorn tree Crataegus laevigata 'Crimson Cloud' . Not the sharpest photo, but showing it standing out against the glorious almost purple Acer behind. Overnight frost, glad I tucked the dahlias back in the greenhouse. Have a good day.

Morning, the flowers of Vinca major variegata. I love the colour of these. In the background, Akebia quinata the chocolate vine. It’s settled in well, but put most of its growth and super flowers through to our neighbours side of the fence!😂Good job he likes it! Happy Sunday💙

The wisteria is almost all out!

Morning, a wider view of the huge tree peonies in full flower. They will have gone over in a few days time, but the fabulous architectural leaves stay until winter. Have a great weekend. 😊🌺

Flowers in the mirror this Friday… the first Coral peonies bought by my husband with added Solomon’s seal and aquilegia from the garden #FlowersOnFriday

Morning, this is Wisteria floribunda f. rosea 'Hon-beni' or ‘ Pink Ice’ and it’s on a very old pergola outside our conservatory. The scent is amazing. This is the first time in the last 5 years it hasn’t been damaged by frost or wind 🤞🏻. More pics when fully out. Have a good day.

Morning, the fabulous new leaves of Acer Tsuma-Gaki also known as Painted fingernails. If you’ve known me a while you’ll know my passion is my Acer collection, most in pots some in the ground like this one. Spring colour is wonderful. Once called an #AcerHoarder - it stuck. Happy May🍁💕

Morning, Lamprocapnos spectabilis ‘Alba’ the white bleeding heart. This one flowers slightly later than the red and pink varieties in my garden, but I like it even more. A gentle day today. Expecting a nice parcel, who doesn’t love a parcel! Have a good day. 🤍🤍🤍

Morning, another tree peony, this time very pink! These are large blooms about 17cm 7” across with no scent, but what a colour! Today I will be relaxing in the garden after doing too much yesterday. Well that’s the plan. 😂 Enjoy your day.

Morning, another tree blossom, this is fruiting cherry Prunus avium ‘Stella’ - we have two grown in very large pots. We usually get a small bowl of cherries each and the birds have the rest! Happy Monday. 😊🌸

Afternoon, the lovely pendant flowers of the newly acquired Uvularia perfoliata (bell wort) waiting to be planted in a shadier spot than here on the raised bed. Can you spot the little spider?! Have a good weekend. 💛

My clever husband made me this set of small display shelves from spalted beech with African blackwood details. I’m thrilled.
