The case for ramping up ME/CFS research, through both public and private funding, is absolutely compelling šŸ“ˆ Especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has significantly worsened this humanitarian crisis happening under our noses A visual thread šŸ§µ

The GET fanatics didn't like a study last year about muscle abnormalities in Long Covid. So they sent in a response full of nonsense, and the authors' cogent responses makes the critics look silly: virology.ws/2025/02/15/t...

What these nihilistic vandals are doing to dismantle science & medicineā€”generations of expertise & public service & life improving benefitsā€”is cultural revolution level national self harm. No foreign foe could inflict such brutal damage & senseless suffering on US so fast & effectively & unresisted.

If this were Just Stop Oil, there'd have been dozens of arrests, furious denunciations in the billionaire press and, perhaps, long jail sentences. Farmers have a right to protest, and the police respect it. Other people, it seems, not so much. The real #TwoTierPolicing www.bbc.co.uk/news/videos/...

Please consider supporting Line with her legal costs to avoid her being detained in a psych ward when she has M.E. (sheā€™s found a supportive and nice lawyer to help) you can PayPal her here: www.paypal.com/paypalme/neb...

This is deeply shocking and disturbing, the opposite of scientific good practice. As I see it, a group of diehards promoting a discredited treatment (exercise "therapy" for ME/CFS patients) are seeking to stifle medical progress - to protect their reputations. And Cochrane has kowtowed to them. šŸ§µ

NHS Devon has released its plan for how to address the case of severe ME patients.

Call my cynical but whenever someone refers to me, a woman disabled by #LongCOVID, as ā€œresilient,ā€ it just feels like theyā€™re giving themselves cover for not doing a single thing to help me and people like me. ā€œOh, sheā€™s resilient. Sheā€™ll be fine.ā€ No, we need able-bodied allies beating the drum.

New Video: @georgemonbiot.bsky.social describes the treatment of #MECFS as "The Greatest Medical Scandal of the 21st century". The video explores the impact of ineffective & harmful treatments & how they were defended by the scientific & media establishment. youtu.be/RiwX9Y0NbiQ?...
