Bannon's smirk and nod of affirmation after he performed a Nazi salute. Revulsion to the pit of my stomach.

On Monday I'll be piloting a new drama workshop alongside Breathing Fire Theatre and Verity Jones (UWE), investigating walking, gender, and safety with Year 7 children, including looking at a scene of street harassment from Romeo and Juliet. Can't wait to see what the children make of it!

Exit row seats: worth the considerable outlay on an overnight flight, or not?

Seems like a good day to announce Wendy Lennon's upcoming "Shakespeare, Race & Pedagogy 2" 👇👇👇 www.shakeracepedagogy.com/shakespeare-...

Sometimes I forget and think the world is the same, and then I remember Jared fucking Kushner talking about waterfront property and I want to rip everything up and rage and wail and keen that this is a world I have brought my son into. These people are wicked, these people are beyond comprehension .

Put a load of pink eyeshadow on... now worried I just look like I have pinkeye.

Tomorrow I get to speak to Bristol City Council about how my research into early modern walking might be brought to bear on their thinking about 'pedestrianisation.' A rare and exciting opportunity for a historian to potentially bring about change in the present!

I'm going official with my least favourite part of university admin: ethics applications.

Monday: won £100 on a postcode lottery Friday: got ripped off by a scam US visa website to the tune of £114. The lord giveth and the lord taketh away.

So looking forward to returning to Oxford almost ten years (!) after starting the MSt to talk to the Early Modern Literature Seminar about boy actors and the engendering of race next week. Tuesday 21st, 5.15pm, TS Eliot Lecture Theatre, Merton College. Come along!

Here goes... I get the urge to give early modern women from the past more agency than in 90s scholarship. An important intervention, particularly when it comes to working-class women. But let's not overstate that agency and so give women operating within *extremely* narrow bounds of possibility,

The absurd smugness of having cleared two bin bags of clutter out of your kid's room. It's almost unseemly.

Exciting things planned for 2025, including a pilot workshop for KS3 students on walking and safety (using Romeo and a Juliet) in two Bristol secondary schools; presenting to Bristol City Council on the need to take walking history into account when considering 'pedestrianisiation'; organising a

CW: violence, murder In this jawdropping cover-up, Ellen Greenberg's death was ruled as suicide during which she supposedly stabbed herself 20 times including in the back of her head- a mysterious change from an initial homicide ruling after coroner met with Philadelphia police. Justice for Ellen!

Blue Sky is so aptly named, as a clear space from the outrageous hatred of the other site these days. And is it crude to point out that X also means no, or wrong? Definitely a host of incorrect answers coming out from that bigoted megalomaniac.

Happy New Year from the monstrosity created by my boys when I went out yesterday afternoon to freak me out on my return.

Chickens have come home to roost on all the various 2024 data breaches (I'm looking at you USS, UCU) and now I'm currently without a bank card on New Year. Yay!
