A profound display of weakness. Every day, in every way, Trump reveals himself to be a fraud in every conceivable category of human quality.

Perfect. Let's take Social Security money away from people who have earned and paid into it all their lives, and use that money to bribe people in Greenland. The Fart of the Deal.

Exactly. Trump takes pleasure and gets satisfaction from violating deals, contracts, and agreements.

Switching from watching baseball to watching basketball has proven to be a game-changer.

Are you headed for a premature death? Let's hope not! Read all about it. thesplit.substack.com/p/splitsvill...

It's almost entertaining to watch Rubio, like all people who work for Trump, becoming more evil before our very eyes. God knows (so to speak) what he tells himself every night and every morning to justify it. In any case, now he is entirely worthy of the contempt Trump showed him in 2016.

“US Secretary of Education Linda McMahon attended the ASU+GSV Summit this week, where experts in education & technology gathered to discuss how AI will impact learning. *** While speaking on a panel about AI in the workforce, McMahon repeatedly referred to AI as ‘A1,’ like the steak sauce.” 4/10/25

It's not that they're ALL criminals, although many are. It's that they're all crap human beings.

The problem is sociopathic corporate greed. 🧐

This "Dems can't settle on a way to talk about tariffs" business is asinine. Just say, "Tariffs are a scalpel. Trump is running around the world waving a meat cleaver. He doesn't know how they work or how to apply them, and he's doing a lot of damage and no good. "Next question."

David Brooks has a new essay in The Atlantic, and it's echt Brooks--i.e., it's partly okay and otherwise full of sh*t. His description and denunciation of Trump and Trumpism is good enough, and his account of the horror to come is suitably grim. He brings some historical context, etc. Then...1/5

Trump asked released hostages if Hamas "liked" them. In 2016 he said, "Anybody who likes me, I like them." All this obsession with "liking," from the most despised (and despicable) man on Earth.

The average life expectancy in 1890 was 47 years. The reason there was no income tax was because the government didn't DO anything. The sheer, brute ignorance of Donald Trump is as solid and immovable as the Rock of Gibraltar.

IN THE USA today, there is at least the pretense that religious matters won't influence political positions. IN THE CONFEDERATION OF CONSERVATIVE STATES OF AMERICA (CCSA) candidates for CEO of the country (sic) brag about hearing from God. Where is the CCSA? Here: exasperatedmedia.com

Everything is working very smoothly. The Titanic is sinking and, accordingly, the warning alarms are sounding as designed, and in due time all the power will fail, as is right and proper when the generators and circuitry are inundated with water.

Again: However much you think Trump is evil, vile, and insane, bear in mind that the entire Republican Party is complicit with him. Some of them are incredibly stupid, yes. But most of them know better and just don't care. All the destruction and death that will result is their doing, too.

It's even money on whether he knows this is nonsense, and is wittingly lying, or he really believes it. Then again, who knows what "believes" means in his deranged mind?

THIS IS WHAT A TRADE WAR LOOKS LIKE -

IN THE USA, Donald Trump is trying to turn the country into the Confederation of Conservative States of America (CCSA). Meaning: a corporatist, anti-science, anti-woman, racist, theocratic hellhole. What is the CCSA? Find out here: exasperatedmedia.com

I asked the one high ranking policeman I saw on 5th Ave why there were so few police. He said “We did not expect anything like this. Don’t tell anyone but I’ve only got 44 officers out here — and it’s a great crowd, great event, no incidents.”

"Honestly," huh? Yeah, Bari, insisting on diversity, equity, and inclusion is just as bad as rampant lawlessness, disappearing people off the streets to foreign hellholes, and the wholesale destruction of important public gov't. services. Somebody give McWhorter a fainting couch.

Navarro said the other day that "tariffs are a tax cut." That's like saying "a hand grenade is an apple." We've entered a singularity in which stupidity, insanity, and evil are transformed into each other at an accelerating rate.

IN THE USA today, Donald Trump is doing all he can to make our air more polluted. IN THE CONFEDERATION OF CONSERVATIVE STATES OF AMERICA (CCSA), they've had over 15 years of that policy. Result? You don't open your car windows when you drive. Where is the CCSA? Here: exasperatedmedia.com

off to a good start at the boasberg hearing, with drew ensign for doj acknowledging that "to the extent that [administration statements] are contrary to things that are true, they would be false"

Kristol was laughably wrong about everything during W's admins, but he's right about this.

IN THE USA TODAY, any idiot is allowed to buy and own a lethal weapon. IN THE CONFEDERATION OF CONSERVATIVE STATES OF AMERICA (CCSA), "allowed" has nothing to do with it. Ownership and possession of a weapon is required by law. Where is the CCSA? Here: www.exasperatedmedia.com

"matching the level of intensity the public has" is exactly right. It not only makes us feel better (which itself is important), it deflects some heat back at Repubs, who are the only ones who can end this nightmare.

At least when Caligula nominated his horse for the Senate, it didn't undermine the entire Roman economy.

I don't expect any of our major media outlets to acknowledge this outright, but this is the thing: These aren't 'steep' tariffs, these are _insane_ tariffs. These are 'nobody in the White House understands decimal points' numbers. It speaks to total economic illiteracy _throughout the White House_.

Good day to remember that a US President has no inherent power over tariffs whatsoever. It’s not like war powers or pardons. It’s entirely delegated by Congress to deal with emergencies. GOP Congress cld modify that law tonight and bring this to a screeching halt.
