WA State proposing a pay-by-mile tax to make up for loss of gas tax revenues (more EVs and hybrids). Stupid idea! How about this: implement car inspections and use the yearly fee for roads. This would help keep cars safer, bring business to local garages and not rely on self-reporting driving.

Yup - the richest man in the world is ruining our National Parks and ‘saving’ $ by putting really low paid staff out of work. How many families are suffering now, and will we lose $ because people won’t pay to go to our parks when they become shitty places due to lack of workers?

Hmmm - what happened around this time?! Gas prices here in WA were in the $3.65 range last month. Now over $4. I did find eggs this week. Wearing a mask in public again - because, who knows?! Froze my credit and printed my SS contribution data. I’m scared but not giving up. Push back!!

Thune and Crapo are pushing to make Trump’s 2017 tax cuts permanent as part of their budget bill. If they succeed, it would put Dems in a position of looking like they are raising taxes in the future. For now, the discussion feels easier since we talk about not extending tax cuts. Greedy bastards.

NYTimes newsletter today shouting amazement that breaking things is so much easier and faster than creating things. Dems must be jealous, right? Has anyone calculated how much we will pay in unemployment to the federal employees who were let go? We wasted $ for a year of recruiting, onboarding and training. Now we get to pay for no work and likely have to hire someone else at some point for the truly needed jobs. What a sick joke this is.
