Trump being named as TIME's Person of the Year epitomizes the media's complicity in fascism and the polarization of the masses. The system doesn't give us a choice. It works tirelessly to normalize authoritarianism and class warfare as ubiquitous parts of society while turning us against each other.

Trump joins Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin as Time’s Person of the year.

Just imagine if you were in a position to end poverty, everywhere, for everyone, overnight. And instead you chose to engage in political games that enrich you, engender division and further impoverish the worst off.

Ambulance blocked by protesting tractors. Remember the outrage when it was suggested that Just Stop Oil protesters might block hypothetical emergency services vehicles? Yet no one seems to be as outraged by actual emergency services vehicles being blocked. www.thelondoneconomic.com/news/ambulan...

That’s not what she *means* of course. She means they’re food for the Poors.

“54% of Britons who voted leave, including 59% of voters in “red wall seats”, said in exchange for single market access they would now accept full free movement for EU and UK citizens to travel, live and work across borders.”

Good to see @theneweuropean.bsky.social naming Gisèle Pélicot as Person of the Year 2024 - take note, Time magazine!

We need to make @bsky.app the biggest social media platform in the world, we need to do it with urgency, we need to make sure Reform UK never get any where near power & we need to send Elon Musk packing. TOGETHER we can do it

Levi Fishlock sentenced to 9 years after changing his plea to guilty. He threw bricks, smashed windows & stoked a fire to set alight & burn over 200 people. He said his actions were for “a good cause” & there are plenty we give mainstream platforms to who agree. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Remember all the outraged coverage about a handful of climate protesters slowing ambulances a few years back? Well it turns out that wealthy farmers doing exactly the same thing on a much bigger scale is absolutely fine bylinetimes.com/2024/12/12/t...

I think we need to consider just ignoring America for the next few years

A regular reminder to the far right arseholes, in the media and online, who constantly say that people were only jailed after the Farage riots for sending "silly tweets", that the prosecuted were actually violent criminal thugs or inciters of hatred & violence, and deserved incarceration.

How many times…

The next Trump presidency will largely leave #AI unregulated. That makes it essential that tech firms see Europe’s AI Act as legitimate, to maximise the law’s global influence. 🆕 insight by @zach-cer.bsky.social Read here: https://buff.ly/4gm1hw0

This is how America should work.

Support our call for an inquiry on our future relationship with Europe. "Tinkering around the edges of hard Brexit will not deliver for the British people. We need bold, clear, and informed action."

Insurance Companies are the "Death Panels" that Republicans claim Socialized Medicine will be.

Shameful. "Soaring private rents, rising evictions and a chronic lack of affordable social housing have led to homelessness in England increasing by 14%, research from Shelter reveals." www.theguardian.com/society/2024...

The "Kids are just pretending to be trans so they can be cool" narrative is the dumbest take in all of human history.

Really coming down to the wire on this one.

I find this so baffling. There are so many things I need, before we even start on the things that I want.

All CEOs are bastards

Wes Streeting is a worm.

The real person of the year.

The groups suing the government are the ones we need the most as we navigate these next few years. Sue the bastads and tie their hands in court. Oppose oppose oppose every action that harms our wildlife Because we only have to lose this fight once.

In 1968 Finland banned for profit education, the few private schools that exist in Finland have to reinvest any profit they make or pay it back to parents. It has been in the Top 3 in education for the last 20 years. There should be no profit in education or healthcare.

Oh yes please 🙏 "Let's end the colonial-era practice of wealthy foreigners coming to destroy the treasures of poorer countries for entertainment Elephant protectionists call for trophy hunting ban, claim it lacks community upliftment

The Media won't acknowledge this video of the farmers blocking an ambulance with its blue lights on so could you could RT it so people see it?

The 2034 World Cup will be held atop a mountain of dead. FIFA knows it. The toll in Saudi Arabia will be staggering. In Qatar, a nation with—comparatively only—a better human rights record, 6500 (not a typo!) died for the sake of the World Cup. This is monstrous. 🔗: www.google.com/amp/s/amp.th...

I haven't posted this over here yet. It's as true as it ever was.
