The show with enough stars to spangle a banner 💫 Have you joined us yet for this "audacious display of technical skill" (@theguardian.com)? All remaining performances of KENREX are selling quickly, so don't miss out. Captioned Performance: Wednesday 5 March 7pm 📸 Danny Easton

Enjoyed this discussion on what 25 years of 21stC has brought to #theatre. Diversity on stage, for sure; but what about audience access, like never before? @samiraahmeduk.bsky.social #NicaBurns @markravenhill.bsky.social @lolitachakrabarti.bsky.social #SarahCrompton www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

Now working on a friend’s favourite childhood film so she can share it with her partially sighted daughter. We work for families.

Just finished work on the English AD for two films for Hong Kong’s No Limits festival, which highlights the work of disabled artists. An annual pleasure. These two were from France and Finland. Online info at www.nolimits.hk/en/programmes

Earlier this month, Eleanor wrapped up delivering #AudioDescription for 3 access performances (2 public & 1 schools) of #BalletShoes at @nationaltheatre.org.uk, with Ess Grange assisting—once again making theatre magical, #Inclusive & #Accessible for young #VI audiences! #EleanorsVoice 🤩✨🎭

When I heard Musk say this on Tuesday, my assumption was that it was a programming issue. Because I can code and have written to databases and because I am familiar with other examples of default values being misinterpreted. Yet somehow Musk isn't.

good morning! Half an hour of reading then I’ve got to get up and get ready to go to the British Library audio described art workshop, yay!!#TactileArt

Overjoyed to see that all 29 of Brian Friel’s plays will be brought to north-west Ireland until 2029. I won’t get to see them because (gestures at pain stuff) but they will be there and other people will, and that is enough.

Yesterday I had to explain to a man that starting an interaction with a blind woman by laughing loudly then announcing “I’ll grab the buggy” was really inappropriate. Men you know if you’re a “nice safe dude” but please think how to communicate it with your words & actions. Story ⬇️

I have to audio describe Jeff Goldblum walking, and I may need a moment. Also, does the Wizard of Oz walk like Jeff Goldblum?

✨ Huzzah, it's 2025!!! ✨ #HappyNewYear to all in the South Street community! From our staff to our audiences, Members, hirers and office tenants, we hope the year brings you joy, adventure, hope and frivolity. See you at South Street very soon! 🤩🥳 🎉 🥂 #rdguk

I saw something on here about medieval manuscript drawings of knights fighting snails, and now I know about Lombards. So glad I came.

Just finished the audio description for the Finnish film The Blind Man Who Did Not Want To See Titanic. When material is such a pleasure to describe, it raises your game. Learned a lot of Finnish pronunciation too.

Yesterday I joined colleagues & friends at the unveiling of a new plaque to honour the memory of Alan Benson. Amongst other countless achievements Alan campaigned tirelessly for the Elizabeth line to be step free & so he is remembered in the ticket hall of the Paddington Elizabeth line station.

Enchanted to find that the #CharlesDickensMuseum keeps a stuffed hedgehog in its kitchen to represent the idea that Victorians sometimes kept them there to catch bugs. Called Bill Spikes, apparently.

Back to Hirokazu Kore-eda’s After Life tonight, I think. It’s quietly stunning.

I feel this. We had the same with a close child relative. I hope you get a better result.
