Great to finally see some sort of signage on the #BVLGreenway. Badly needed, opened over a year (even longer in some sections) Anyone seen these type of distance marker signs anywhere else? (not in the Greenway Design and Brand Guidelines www.sportireland.ie/sites/defaul...) @irishcycle.com

Quality 👌 #DuneProphecy

Eddie Izzard on Tommy Tiernan, great viewing.

Powerful. Tomorrow’s front page of the most influential weekly publication in Germany. “BETRAYED. First Zelensky, Soon Us? The radical departure of the US from its allies.”

State gave Greyhound Industry nearly €20m in 2024. Two people paid to attend Youghal Greyhound Stadium in 2024. In the whole year. Two paying customers. During the life of the last govt (which is essentially the same as the current govt) they gave the same industry €94m. #SpéirGhorm

First time using the new section of the Liffey Cycle Route. DCC made huge improvements to the narrow broken footpath beside the Liffey as part of this too. This is what continued investment in active travel gets you.

A small village in Spain's sparsely populated northeast, is experiencing a revival after a refugee centre opened there.

Awesome to see George’s Quay to O’Connell Bridge protected two-way lanes OPEN this morning! 😍🌟 Fair play to the @dublincitycouncil.bsky.social Active Travel team and @nationaltransportauthority Another step forward for the City Centre

Just sent a magazine to print, the biggest issue of the year. Current mood:

I've just updated to MacOS Sequoia 15.3.1 and now “Adobe Photoshop 2025” can’t be opened 🙄 No #Adobe or #CreativeCloud yet on @bsky.app? 😔

I've been seeing and paying a city tax for years in cities all around Europe, and it's no big deal, it helps out the city which you are visiting. Why shouldn't it happen here and help Irish cities too? #TodayCB

I live just up the road from Flower Hill and I walk or cycle it most days. It’s the main road north out from Navan town centre. It was awarded €7.6m in URDF funding over 4 years ago but since then nothing has happened. Right in the heart of Navan town yet full of vacant, crumbling buildings.

We build vehicles that weigh 9000 pounds with 1000HP, can go 0-60mph in 3 seconds and market them recklessly. We then ask people to wear construction vests to cross the street. This is all so beyond absurd and it's truly incredible that we've normalized this.

Three years on, car-free Capel Street: “We need to be able to make these bold moves” After three years of a car-free Capel Street, central area councillors have expressed a broad consensus that it has been a massive success with only some limited issues. A written report presented to councillors…

Portuguese editorial cartoonist Zez Vaz reaches back to Tiananmen Square to call on American defiance.

Lots of changes on the Dublin team v Kerry. Niall O'Callaghan, Ethan Dunne, Eoghan O'Connor Flanagan and Dan O'Leary come in for Killian McGinnis (injured), Senan Forker, Calum Ahearne and Brian O'Leary. #UpTheDubs #GAA

In Dune: Part Two, nominated for Best Picture at this year’s Academy Awards, director Denis Villeneuve created a world for the mind to wander and explore. He picked up where the first film left off—but also expanded upon so much in the process. Watch the full interview: boxd.it/RCL

Have decided to mute the words 'Trump' and 'Musk' on here. I'll still read and watch all the news no doubt, but its getting to the stage thats its just flooding the timeline (especially if you follow many US accounts) and ruining the @bsky.app experience with all the horrible shit they are doing 🖕

Dublin v Kerry today, some great battles over the years! #GAA

If Trump puts tariffs on the European Union, maybe the EU should simply block X/Twitter, meta and associated hostile social media. Netflix and other streamers too.

At first glance, a quintessentially beautiful Irish landscape. But in reality, it's a deadzone. The graveyard of a once species-rich Atlantic rainforest wonderland, smothered under sheep and, in the distance, sitka. We are, however, waking to just how much has been stolen from us.

Headlines from today: Vice President Vance Accuses European Leaders of Censoring Free Speech White House Bars Associated Press From Spaces Like Oval Office and Air Force One

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier: "We must not freeze in fear, or as the English saying goes, let's not be deers caught in the headlights. It is clear that the new American administration holds a world view that is very different from our own. One that shows no regard for established rules."

The White House barred a credentialed Associated Press reporter and photographer from boarding Air Force One Friday for a weekend trip with Donald Trump, saying the news agency’s stance on how to refer to the Gulf of Mexico was to blame for the exclusion.

🚴‍♀️👩‍🎓 How it started. How it's going. 🏅 Chapeau, Lara Gillespie! The former UCD Ad Astra Academy Elite Sports Scholar made history last night by becoming the first Irish cyclist to take gold at the European track championships in Zolder, Belgium.

I've been trying to explain how bad the situation with X/Twitter right now to policy makers, and put simply the #TogetherForYes, & #RepealThe8th social media campaigns *could not exist* on Elon Musk's platform.

#Bologna, one of my favourite Italian cities, introduced a 30km/h speed limit over a year ago, and since then there have been ZERO pedestrian deaths (for the first time since 1991), with overall road deaths down by 50% 👏 #BolognaCitta30 ✅ www.comune.bologna.it/notizie/citt...
