For some reason I feel bad that Bref season 2 (a brillant french tv show), ends up on Disney+ (or any subscription platform). It's going to be binged and forgotten like everything else. We must absolutely keep video games from ending like TV and keep the balance between premium, subs and F2P.

For a couple of years, I've played mahjong every weekend with friends. Later I watched the anime Akagi, a "mahjong gambling thriller", and honestly, it's one of the best suspensful anime I've ever watched. Highly recommended.

30 years-ish ago I bought Blue Seed, the game from the anime, on Saturn (japanese import), and completed it (in Japanese). The gameplay wasn't fun but the journey to modern fantasy Japan was fantastic. It's the first RPG I played where the world was not full HF or SF. Blew my kid's mind.

What really makes Astrobot shine compared to a Mario for me is the balancing. The game is fun to play for an adult and for a kid all the same. I can play Astro with my 9 y.o. daughter but mario is too hard on many occasions. Yet i’m not bored by Astrobot.

I made a Doom source port that runs within a PDF file. PDFs support Javascript, so Emscripten is used to compile Doom to asm.js, which is then run within the PDF engine. Input/output is done by manipulating text input fields. doompdf.pages.dev/doom.pdf github.com/ading2210/do...
