*minor spoilers for Mouthwashing* For years I always wanted to see a game where you used a gun but only once in the entire runthrough. So many games where the default and contantly repeated verb is 'shoot' so that the weight of the consequences of pulling a trigger are vastly diminished. 1/4

Finally got around to playing Mouthwashing specifically so I could listen to this. 2024 was a bleak year for games in many ways but this and 1000x RESIST are shining examples of what the medium can be with small budgets, small scope and superb writing / storytelling.

Platinumed Spiderman 2, had a great time but the two things that most broke the immersion for me were: 1. Not once did a person I swung to an ambulance plead for me to put them down as they had no health insurance. 2. No groups of friends on rooftops in Brooklyn playing Mario Kart on Switch.
