It’s dangerous to go alone. Take this: 🥄🇺🇸 Normally forestry and fire focused; currently in a street fight for democracy. Views are mine and do not represent any government organization.

doesn’t lorde understand the Yankees are facing a constitutional crisis. how dare she release a banger at this time

looks like collective bargaining agreements are back on the menu, boys

Let's wake up. He's REALLY unpopular for this early in a term or really ever. President's this unpopular are already losing. Power becomes harder to assert when your power is fading.

This man does not get to know peace in my lifetime, let alone his.

You will definitely be missed!

you will be missed, and the American public won’t know what they had till you’re gone

who’da thunk it?

Two headlines in the New York Times today.

just a sample of the ‘goodbye’ emails I received last weeks…from hardworking folks pushed out of or retiring early from federal service ❤️‍🩹

bloodbath of a day for BLM leadership. send your thoughts and prayers to those of us that are left. 🫠

in better news: the first section of my native clover lawn is fully established!

ayyy let’s GOOOO 🗣️

My coworker was down in McClellan helping these kids demob today. They received no notice they were being disbanded. They gave a year of their life to service at way below minimum wage. And now many don’t know *where they’re going to live.*

ATTN FEDS: The @aflcio.org just launched a new initiative to connect us with legal resources when we are fired illegally or our rights at work are violated. 💪 Please help spread the word! ⬇️

AOC: I saw on Fox, Jeanine Pirro says that they found so many babies and two year olds and four year olds receiving social security. I got a notice for you Jeanine Pirro: those babies receive social security because their parents died. That’s not a waste. That’s humanity. That’s America.

This has been weighing heavy on my mind recently. What young person wants to work for a government that senior leadership has fled, and that has laid off thousands of new employees? The future of federal employment is so bleak.

Absolutely not an exaggeration. High crimes and misdemeanors committed and endorsed in the Oval Office on live television.

Me as a kid: Oh wow, these dystopia novels are amazing! I wish I could have exciting adventures like these characters! Me as an adult: ...Oh.

it’s feral chick season here in Yuba City (iykyk) and when I walked outside this morning, my dog had one in her mouth 😩 I got her to drop it and I put it under a bush in the front yard. hopefully lil guy recovers.

The USFS had a “DOGE exemption” for reforestation contracts. That exemption has now been dropped, and all reforestation projects are paused again. Making forests great again!

contempt of court. contempt of court. contempt of court.

“I’m here to apologize on behalf of REI, to retract our endorsement of Doug Burgum, and to take full accountability for how we move forward."

On April 9th, Secretary Doug Burgum held an “All Hands Meeting” for all employees in the Department of the Interior. This meeting was going to highlight the work that the department has done “make the transition to the Trump administration so smooth.” ....right. He made some WILD claims.

📍somewhere east of Garberville, CA today I was reminded of why I love my job (and why I’m filled with incandescent rage at the people trying to control how I do my job)

oh you’ve gotta be fucking kidding me

to all feds considering fork 2.0:

how it feels to be a US forester after the Canadian lumber tariffs hit:

[looks into the camera like I’m on The Office]

Federal funding freezes and fires hurt our forests, our communities, and our economies

This is the part of the Reddit post that pisses me off the most: “Also shared: senior leadership has been advocating for DOGE to consider only the portion of our agency’s budget that comes from appropriated funds as the starting point for the %-based salary reduction plans… 1/

Well isn’t that just great? Why don’t you ask the U.S. Forest Service how their centralized HR is going?

I’m not especially concerned by this. ESA, SHPO, and a lack of harvest/mill capacity are all throttle controls. The bigger concern are discussions around liquidating our public lands.

We need to focus more broadly than events in the White House. The entire GOP is working to give our Federal lands to private interests. Eliminating Federal land jobs will discourage public visitors. Extractive industries will do permanent damage. We must stop the privatization of our land.
