As a mood cleanser after seeing one of Trump's Terrible Tweets, I offer Flanders and Swann singing the Mozart Horn Concerto...with WORDS. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkYr...

Meanwhile I have phone calls to make, formal stuff to write, less formal stuff to write, and trivial stuff like fun with horses I would write if I didn't have the other stuff to write. Sigh. Maybe I should write a CW song with a refrain of "Stuff to write, stuff to write, I always have stuff..."

I watched a video of a professional laundress who used a clever plastic "thingie" to fold laundry. I don't like folding laundry (the only flat surface I have to fold on is the bed, and that means leaning over for the duration. Hurts.) but the plastic thingie would make it faster. I wonder....

I’m not going to pretend for one second that an executive order is a law. I don’t serve a king.

The way we bring jobs back to Americans is by investing in ambitious, innovative projects like diversifying our energy sector and national high-speed rail. We are falling behind China on these things. We can compete with China AND create good paying jobs.

I'm Dr. Annie Andrews. I’m a pediatrician, not a politician. But either way I know how to handle people who are full of sh*t. Today I am announcing my campaign for US Senate to replace Lindsey Graham. Share this if you're with me. www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8wM...

Socialism is what they called public power. Socialism is what they called social security.    Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.   Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people. —Harry Truman, 1952

On this day in 2019 ... ... WaderTales was focusing on Redshank, following the publication of a paper by Lucy Mason (@rspbscience.bsky.social). wadertales.wordpress.com/2019/05/28/r... Still not quite red-listed but there are real problems for coastal Redshank. #ornithology

Awww...RCMP were on the dock and one of the guys walked by my boat and said, "This boat is immaculate!" and the other officer whistled... Yay!! Nice to hear nice things about her! #boatlife

Of Banana Republics, Gun-runners, and Horses When my grandfather ran away from home at about 14* and ended up broke, unemployed, on the Galveston docks because he was short, skinny, etc. he bought a stalk of bananas with his last few coins and lived on them until they were gone. Never ate another.

Breaking News: A judge said the government should release Kseniia Petrova, a Russian scientist employed by Harvard University, saying U.S. customs had “no factual or legal basis” for revoking her visa.

The fruits of Nyssa are drupes—fleshy fruits with a single, seed-enclosing stone (like a cherry). This is N. ogeche. The fossilized stones (endocarps) of Nyssa are known from Europe until ca. 5–10 MyBP. Nyssa died out there, but still lives in E. Asia & C. & N. Amer. #Nyssaceae #Botany 🌾🧪🌱

I have been sick for a week and I just read about "something going around" in a subreddit, which I guess is how I get my information now that the CDC is officially spending the next four years determining when and how microscopes became gay.

😇

Yup.
