god the idea that someone who claims to be an 'expert' on this is saying this is absolutely insane. The past robber barons were INSANELY political, MORE than Elon I'd say, they bought their kids and shit entire city districts to run like a fiefdom!

You was in the club without clarity of purpose

being 24 is insane because what the hell do you mean i had a full day at work, spent a few hours at an amusement park, spent a few hours at a rave, and now am planning to get breakfast again 22 hours after waking up originally. with no substances at all.

i genuinely think it was this specific genre of video that broke silicon valley's VC guys' brains, and 3 years later we're like tearing down the US Forestry Service because they think it's full of brunch-eating do-nothing-email-job remote workers

Long week, carbs and sugar. Challah French toast with maple syrup

This may be @adamserwer.bsky.social's most incisive work since "The Cruelty Is the Point." www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

This is the most wretched campaign of deliberate, explicit persecution the United States has perpetrated against a minority group in decades. Many of the most important people in politics and journalism are busying themselves trying to figure out how little to say or do about it.

me: you got the biz credit card saved in your autofill? thomas: yes, why me: plz preorder this book for me thomas: i… already preordered that book thomas: sorry (tnx @cara.city) the book:

TO: <ALL STAFF> Please respond to this email confirming that I am cool and funny. Failure to do so will be taken as confirmation of the same.

Writer (The Atlantic) (Derogatory)

trans people: i;m trans society: ok republicans: we;re gonna kill u jeff tiedrich: looks like little donny DUMP is at it again!

r/offmychest: i spent 15 years in the forums reading leftist theory and furry smut just for one of elon's DOGE incels to lay off my entire cia unit using a form email

Guy who doesn’t even respond to the mothers of his children: reply to my email or you’re fired

BEGGING one of the bajillion federal employees to leak the email address so the inbox can be flooded with goatse and pig poop balls

Coming around to the view that a certain kind of narcissist simply needs Musk to be a genius rather than a fraud, because they want to believe there’s a hereditary Brahmin class of accomplished, beautiful minds—and that they’re a part of that class.

The attacks on DEI are a pretext for a much more radical agenda of reversing the gains of the civil rights movement, an objective the Trump administration is pursuing with zeal. A Great Resegregation. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

Really enjoying the stories about congressmen getting yelled at about DOGE shit in their town halls. Not because I feel like it's necessarily going to move things in the right direction in the next election cycle or two, really. I just like stories about congressmen getting yelled at I think.

So much for meritocracy.

Since I’ve been getting this a lot - if you feel like supporting me by buying a jersey or something, I would rather you make a donation to Trans Lifeline or The Trevor Project www.thetrevorproject.org

when I was younger I thought the subplot of Ender’s Game in which Ender’s siblings shitpost themselves into running the world was the least realistic part of the book I am coming around to the idea that it was by far the most realistic

Just look at these paragraphs from the AP story. Hegseth called Brown unqualified solely because he's Black. Then they fired him... and replaced him with a white guy so indisputably unqualified that he requires a Presidential waiver. This is what "merit" means to them. apnews.com/article/trum...

another great example along with Wired and Teen Vogue of how real journalism these days can be a lot braver at outlets where no one is trying to get in good with the White House press secretary they’re out here with us, reporting on what’s happening to us all, instead of trying to get inside access

“scrub your website of trans people to save your funding” MIGHT seem like the rational choice when it’s put to you, but if you agree the main lesson they learn is that you can be strong armed

I want you all to care about trans people enough to complain about our tragedies just like when a game isn’t getting a physical release or when planes stop landing safely or when eggs are ridiculously expensive I want you to get the same level of upset when trans lives are targeted

The words and actions of America’s leaders show they believe that having dark skin or having a vagina is a reason a person shouldn’t be allowed to pilot a plane, while having a drinking or drug problem is not. That’s their priority, and they’re fine with the flying public suffering the consequences.

We're gonna look back on this era and be so baffled and infuriated about how much time the media spent complaining about DEI trainings. Yes some of them are silly but overall, companies recruiting minorities and trying to create less hostile workplaces is good!

when Trump burst onto the scene just saying “I’m going to do the best things,” all the savvy pundits laughed - your lies need to be better than that! but they do not

Did the @nytimes.com really quote the mf-ing communications director of the Houston YOUNG REPUBLICANS as if he were just some random young Black person who likes Trump? Cause it sure looks like it.
