Last night’s Oscar ceremony lasted longer than The Brutalist.

New company logo.

@sueoconnell.bsky.social We watched Canton Confidential on Monday (our own tabloid news). Your hair looked great! I was thinking that, then my wife came in and said, “Her hair looks great, nice color, too.”

@amnanawaz.bsky.social Fir a fellow Quaker you were salty tonight. First with the budget guy, then with the Panamanian dude. Brava!

And now it really starts.

Dumb shit realizing that USAID actually is a handout to American farmers (and that he should have done his homework).

Good news about Gaza, I guess, but check out that crawl.

More darkroom work from my magnum opus. 20K on the odometer, David Bowie hair.

Boring Super Bowl. Worse commercials. Billionaires Tom Terrific and Snoop Dog exchanging insults to get us to love one another? Really, Mr. Kraft?

Remember this place? I’m back at it. They don’t call me EmulsionMike for nothing! (OK, nobody actually calls me EmulsionMike, but you get the idea).

Breaking News: in light of the recent air accident in D.C., Trump vows to eliminate DEI in federal aviation by renaming the flight data recorders “White Boxes.”

Who says the Trump admiration is too white? Today three people of color testified before Congress.

Aerial view of my wife’s car’s hood.

Tomorrow’s the big day: the Oscar nominations come out. My friend Amanda and I have a yearly contest to guess the nominees in the 6 major categories (10 for best picture, 5 for the others, 35 in all). A score of 25 is meh, 28 good, and 30 excellent. We sent each other our ballots. Loser buys lunch.

Quite the mic drop! Biden commutes sentence for Leonard Peltier, convicted in FBI killings

The excellent Czech group, Trio Bohémo, at the Shalin Liu in Rockport.

Am I the only person who thinks that a “man’s man” should be able to handle a little cold weather? What a sissy.

Favorite #davidlynch memory: 3 years after our Chronicle Books hit “Betty and Rita Go to Paris” came out (our two labs seeing Paris on their own) we went to see Muhlholand Drive. It opens with wandering Laura Harring as Rita. Then Naomi Watts shows up as Betty. Betty and Rita! We were floored.

Mini Hatch Shell sculpture on Boston’s Greenway.
