Once a pottery studio on #ElmHill in #Norwich, apparently, but now a wonderful shop showcasing local artist, The Jade Tree.

I wish I could have stayed for lunch at The Brisley Bell. #norfolkpubs

We love spotting the steam train when walking in #SheringhamPark. You can stroll down to Weybourne Station and take a journey on this train, it's a wonderful experience.

Fab shaped pub in Gorleston. The New Entertainer, complete with Lacon's windows. Originally the Suffolk Hotel back in 1869, then Suffolk Tavern (as Gorleston was in Suffolk until 1891), followed by the Entertainer and now, since 1982, the New Entertainer.

Right now, dreaming of Summer evening walks on our fabulous #Norfolk beaches.

We absolutely love this Grade II listed building on Princes Street. A private residence since 1566. Wow, that must have some stories to tell. #norwich

The Blickling Park mausoleum in the grounds of #BlicklingHall. Commissioned in 1793 by Lady Caroline Suffield, the daughter of John Hobart, 2nd Earl of Buckinghamshire, as a tomb for her father and his two wives, Mary Anne Drury Caroline Conolly. Constructed of 190,000 Portland stone blocks.

Could this be the oldest living thing in #Norwich? This magnificent ancient Oak Tree in Earlham Park, near to the UEA, is 500 to 600 years old.

Cringleford Bridge, once the main route in & out of #Norwich to & from London. Once a timber bridge, but this was destroyed by a flood in 1519. The present bridge was built in 1520 and you can still see the Medieval brick & stonework today. It was later widened in 1780 and restored in the 1970's

Feeling emotional? The first #FullMoon of 2025 rises today at 15:17 (UTC). The ‘Wolf Moon’, it symbolises heightened emotions and unspoken feelings *apparently* You may feel more intuitive and sensitive than usual so it’s a great time to listen your ‘inner voice’ and trust your instincts.

Winter beach walks, we love them. #northnorfolk

Seems like a fitting occasion to share this - some musings of ours from a few years back, but basically all still true today: 7 reasons why we love the #NationalTrust enjoynorthnorfolk.com/7-reasons-wh...

Bowhill & Elliott manufacturing shoes for more than 150 years. Now a 5th-gen family business, they were founded when local shoemaker, Obadiah Henry Bowhill took on manufacturer, Wright & Co. They are famous for their indoor luxury Albert Slippers and versatile outdoor Street Slippers®

The Church of St Peter & St Paul in #Cromer. It dates from the 14th century & at 158 ft, it has the highest church bell tower in the County. Look at the light from the magnificent stained glass windows, some of which depict the lighthouses of Cromer & also commemorating the local Lifeboat Crews.

The Norwich Technical Institute building, built in 1899 and now home to #NorwichUniversity. A wonderful building situated on St George's Street next to the River Wensum.

#Cromer Beach, enjoyed by all, including the local fisherpeople.

Take a walk up Timberhill, one of the oldest recorded city streets & actually pre-dates Elm Hill. Originally called Durnedale, in the Middle Ages, it was a place for selling swine & timber, giving it the names Swinemarket Hill, Hog Hill, Timbermarket Hill, which developed into Timberhill.

Seems fitting…

In 2025, stop glamorising ‘The Grind’ and start glamorising whatever this is.* *It’s Norfolk.

Frosty fields… Looking towards January, the #Norfolk countryside offers serene beauty, with frosty fields and winding paths perfect for invigorating winter walks. We’re already planning…

Twixtmas tonic… A bracing winter walk on the North #Norfolk coast. Just the thing after (seemingly) days of tele, central heating, rich food and ‘family time’.
