"Forgive me Peter, please know that I tried... But the woman who sits by the window has turned out the light." I feel like this is one of the most devastating songs in her discography

What if Taylor changed the original lyrics of cardigan ("I knew you, living in a gold age, sneaking to my bird cage") because she felt it wouldn't be relatable to people who don't have a human-sized bird cage in their house?

On April 26, 2010, Taylor shared a video blog with the song "She (For Liz)" by Parachute playing in the background

Happy that a new song by Liz Huett and Pretty Bird is coming out soon! 💛

13 years ago today. "Playing dress-up, baking cookies, posting pictures on twitter, dancing in the kitchen, kissing this cat. @ DATEME"

I don't listen to Babe by Sugarland and Better Man by Little Big Town as much as I used to since Red (Taylor's Version) was released, but I still love them so much. This part at the end is just perfect ❤️

I was doing a bit more research into the Red writing timeline, and I think the first week of April 2012 is the most likely time for Taylor to have written with both Dan Wilson (Treacherous, Come Back...Be Here) and Pat Monahan (Babe)

The thing about Taylor Swift is she can write a perfect pop song like Message in a Bottle and a perfect country song like Better Man (awarded "song of the year") and leave both off the final tracklist for her album because she had too many other great songs to choose from

Ahh I love to hear Liz (and friends) sing!

Thinking about Treacherous and The Very First Night and This Love and Wonderland and just Swiftgron in general

I just realized this could be the same polka dot shirt! The left photo is from April 27 and the right photos are from the night of April 25 (also the light pink nail polish is similar)

I knew Butch Walker produced Everything Has Changed, but for some reason I didn't think Taylor had worked on songs with him beyond that. Apparently "she brought songs to Butch Walker and started collaborating" with him in 2012 before she ever met Ed Sheeran. Now I'm curious what those songs were!

On April 19, 2011, "The Story of Us" was released as the 4th single from Speak Now. The cover art for the single shows Taylor surrounded by members of her band, including Liz and Caitlin

folklore fun facts 🤍"my tears ricochet" was the first song taylor wrote for the album 🤍 "august" was the first song written of the three, "august", "cardigan", and "betty" 🤍 "hoax" was written a few hours after "the 1", and these were the last songs written for the album

13 years ago today. Love this photo.

12 years ago, Liz Huett signed her first publishing deal as a songwriter musicrow.com/2013/04/indu...

Remember when Jack posted a photo of Taylor in the studio and said it was the day they made Down Bad, but the photo was possibly just a re-creation of a moment from a different day, and Taylor wore a shirt similar to that of a character in The Truman Show

I still think a lot of Castles Crumbling is driven by religious guilt in the context of purity culture and being held up as a perfect role model
