Me: “Welcome to today’s unboxing video!” My instructor: “No, that’s not how we document autopsies, no.” #horrorwriting

Sometimes you use a pen that turns out to write way better than you thought it would and oh man that’s the good stuff

I am. So. Friggin'. Tired. Of this year. And it's only a half of January.

Horror story where a woman is threatened by a monster in her basement but is more terrified of having to make a phone call to someone about it, and just keeps putting off calling an exorcist or exterminator or something A year later she and the monster are buddies

"If a woman fancies that she looks better or feels better in men's clothes, there is no reason why she may not indulge in so harmless a fancy." The illustrated book of manners: a manual of good behavior and polite accomplishments by R. De Valcourt, 1866. archive.org/details/illu...

Can I just say—if I go out to lunch with someone and they speak condescendingly, bully, or mistreat the waitstaff or blame them for the kitchens mistakes they are dead to me. Unforgivable. — Rant over

warning: french. in case that's a trigger

Damn you, Pluto!

“Holy infant so tender and mild” will never not be funny, don’t write lyrics when you’re hungry.

[at restaurant] THEM: what wine do you think pairs best with the moroccan short rib tagine ME: idk ask the some liar THEM: the some…you mean the sommelier? ME: [through a mouthful of bread] yeah some liar who lies about wine

"Questions From A Worker Who Reads" by Bertolt Brecht:

Coffee isn’t enough for this day. But cocaine is a bit too much. So we have a problem.

Happy Friday Bsky peeps! We made it thorny another week. Hope everyone has an amazing day!

I like books, I really do. But I don't understand belittling people who dislike to read. We don't shame people for not embroidering, not journaling, not coding, not baking... Why is it that you don't need to participate in any other hobby and yet not reading somehow makes you "stupid and unworthy"?

It's that time of year where I post this one

"Fanfic is not literature" okay but what is the point of literature if not to get occasional comments from people who want you to know that the weird gay little story that you wrote during a difficult time in your life brought them comfort and joy and hope for the future

"Cien años de soledad/ One Hundred Years of Solitude" #fanart of my favourite character, Aureliano Buendía I worried about adaptation but it was mesmerizing, with amazing cast and scenography. It really captured book's essence. I can't wait for season 2 #onehundredyearsofsolitude #aurelianobuendía

This is very deep 🤔

Handmade #Arkham Horror player mat. You can even roll it and close it with a snap! It took me ages to complete but I'm happy with the result 😄

I made a paper Christmas wreath for my mum. I'm pretty proud of how it turned out, given that it was my first try.

If you don’t want to read Edgar Allan Poe together by lantern light in a lighthouse on the Irish coast during a full moon, then please don’t classify yourself as “marriage material.”

THIS is my Sentiment

"Hugging someone for 20 seconds reduces stress and boosts happiness. 🤗 Who deserves a hug from you today?"

Maria del Rosario Weiss Zorrilla (1814-1843) was a Spanish painter & engraver best known for portraits. She was the goddaughter of Francisco de Goya. Over 70 of her drawings were once attributed to Goya, but in 1956 they were demonstrated to be hers. Self-portrait, Museo del Prado. #WomensArt

Do you sometimes feel like you need a hug? Not a romantic or even friendful hug. A "I-know-it's-hard-now-but-everything-will-get-better" hug.

Normalize slow writers with seasonal depression and full-time jobs. Like, 500 words is a good day for me and I will not be made to feel bad about it 😂

What’s so intoxicating about art is that despite the difficulty of creating it, the juice is worth the squeeze. It’s a struggle to make something from nothing! But the outcome - and even the journey - is worthwhile. It’s worth doing. We write. We draw. We compose. We’re conjurers of possibility.
