Have the Trump-Vance Administration's attacks directly impacted you or someone you love? There are Members of Congress fighting back for you every day, and they want to hear from YOU! Share your story with them at the link in our bio.

In case anyone needed a reminder:

While bird flu wreaks havoc on our farms & drives up prices for Americans, Trump's Department of Health is launching a campaign against trans people. Trump will stop at nothing to attack trans people—even if it means diverting critical resources to a campaign of hate.

It's been less than 3 weeks, but this graphic already needs an update. Still no word on those lower grocery prices...

Our members are committed to fighting for the right of every American to live as their authentic self—and that includes our aromantic siblings! Happy #ASAW! 💚🤍🖤

Too often, members of the LGBTQI+ community—especially our transgender siblings—face violence for daring to exist. Sam Nordquist should still be alive today. Together, let's all work towards a future where every person can live free from violence. www.advocate.com/crime/transg...

I came to Congress to build an economy where every American has the chance to not just get by, but to get ahead! As a returning Member of the @equality.house.gov, I'm committed to ensuring fairness for the LGBTQ+ community at every turn!

The Acting EEOC Chair & General Counsel are ignoring the duties of their offices by refusing to process workers’ gender identity discrimination claims & dropping lawsuits the EEOC had already filed against employers accused of discriminating against trans & nonbinary employees.

A world without trans people has never existed, and never will—no matter what the President says.

The Trump-Vance Admin is weaponizing the federal government against trans people's existence. As lawsuits are filed to block these unlawful acts, our members are also committed to fighting back in Congress, because trans people can't be erased—no matter what the President says.

Happy Valentine's Day! Our members are working every day towards a future where every person is free to love who they love openly & authentically. #LoveIsLove

GOOD NEWS: A federal judge just temporarily blocked part of Trump's EOs that tried to ban trans people under 19 from accessing medically-necessary & lifesaving care! Let’s keep the government OUT of Americans’ private, medical decisions.

"It is not the job of politicians to stand between a parent and a child who needs medical care of any kind." Well said, Governor Kelly! Thank you for standing up & fighting back for the rights of young trans people and their families.

Unsurprisingly, Trump & Hegseth are more concerned with playing political games than our national security. The Trump-Vance Admin's pause on integrating new recruits—just because they happen to be trans—is wrong. All who are capable of serving should be allowed to serve.

Today, we're announcing that a historic 191 Members of the U.S. House have joined the Congressional Equality Caucus this Congress—the most we've ever had at the start of a Congress! See our full membership, led by Chair @repmarktakano.bsky.social, at the link in our bio.

President Trump has spent his first three weeks in office undermining civil rights protections and enforcement for workers. Read our statement, along with @capac.house.gov @demwomencaucus.bsky.social @hispaniccaucus.bsky.social and the Congressional Black Caucus at the link in our bio.

As part of our fight to end the HIV & AIDS epidemics, our members are committed to ending any & all disparities faced by Black Americans living with HIV or AIDS. #NBHAAD

Trump's EOs targeting the LGBTQ+ community are shameful. All people deserve to be protected from discrimination and treated equally as their authentic selves. Our nation has made tremendous progress in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights; I will stand firmly against any efforts to force us backward.

Trump's move to ban trans people from sports is hateful, wrong, & will make sports less safe for ALL women and girls. It is clear that he does not truly care about protecting women. Read Chair @fernandez.house.gov & @equality.house.gov Chair @repmarktakano.bsky.social’s statements:

Trump's Order to ban young trans people from playing with their friends at school is wrong & endangers the wellbeing of ALL kids. Read the full statements from CEC Chair @repmarktakano.bsky.social & @demwomencaucus.bsky.social Chair @fernandez.house.gov at the link in our bio.

Today, Chair @repmarktakano.bsky.social, Judiciary Cmte RM @raskin.house.gov, & Oversight Cmte RM @connolly.house.gov sent a letter to the Office of Personnel Management demanding they cease implementation of Trump's unconstitutional, anti-trans Executive Order. Full letter at the link in our bio.

We stand with the plaintiffs and lawyers working to defend the rights of young trans people to get the care they, their parents, and their doctors agree they need. Patients over politicians—it's that simple.

Trump has made his priorities crystal-clear.

As Ranking Members @meeks.house.gov, @shaheen.senate.gov, @frankel.house.gov & Sen. Schatz make clear in this letter, Trump's effort to eviscerate USAID will cost lives. This includes LGBTQI+ lives. The Administration must reverse course & stop undermining USAID's critical work.

“Trump’s censorship of information about trans people and other resources for LGBTQI+ people is just the latest part of his crusade to undermine the health, wellbeing, and civil rights of transgender people, as well as LGBTQI+ people and minorities more broadly.” - @repmarktakano.bsky.social

We must reject the demonization of trans individuals, including those in uniform who put their lives on the line to keep us safe. Equality is an American value they are serving to protect.

The recent anti-LGBTQ+ measures signed by @POTUS are discriminatory and cruel.   Executive actions cannot override the constitution, federal law, and medical best practices.   I will continue to work with my @equality.house.gov colleagues to fight these attacks on our fellow Americans.

No matter how hard politicians like Donald Trump try to censor voices they don't like or rewrite the past to advance their extremist causes, they can never change the fact that Black History—including Black LGBTQI+ History—is American History. #BlackHistoryMonth

As Chair of the HIV/AIDS Caucus, let me be clear: erasing HIV/AIDS content from government websites helps literally no one. It endangers public health and abandons those who rely on these critical resources. Reckless and stupid.

Because of Donald Trump's crusade against LGBTQI+ people & other minorities, federal agencies have scrubbed their websites of information about gender, sex, and other topics the White House thinks should be off-limits to the American people. This is censorship, full stop.

My statement on the Trump Administration's attack on transgender Delawareans.

EEOC & Supreme Court precedent are clear: workers are protected from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation & gender identity. This is just the latest move by Trump & those willing to do his bidding to undermine civil rights enforcement. www.hrdive.com/news/eeoc-te...

The Trump Admin's unlawful attempt to ban funding—including for programs, contracts or grants—that simply acknowledges the existence of trans people is going to cost lives, full stop. Trump is weaponizing the government to harm the trans & larger LGBTQI+ community.

“As a former teacher, I’m appalled by Donald Trump’s attempt to use the federal government to censor LGBTQI+ voices and stories in our schools and make LGBTQI+ students less safe." [email protected] Read our statement on Trump's latest anti-LGBTQI+ Executive Order at the link in our bio.

In an unprecedented move, Donald Trump unlawfully fired 2 EEOC Commissioners. The bipartisan, independent EEOC protects workers from discrimination. Trump's firing of these commissioners undermines civil rights enforcement & will have severe ramifications for workers in the US.

"This Executive Order is an attempt by Donald Trump to insert himself into doctors’ offices across the country and override their medical judgment." -CEC Chair @repmarktakano.bsky.social Read our full statement at the link in our bio.

It’s beyond shameful that one of President Trump’s most pressing priorities is to disrupt our military’s readiness by forcing qualified servicemembers out of the military. Read Chair @repmarktakano.bsky.social's response to President Trump's trans troop ban at the link in our bio.

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the millions of innocent people systematically murdered in the Holocaust, including 6 million Jewish people and countless others, including the lesbian, gay, bisexual, & transgender victims. #NeverAgain

When you decide with your doctor about what care is best for you, you shouldn't also have to get input from elected officials. Our members are committed to making sure every person can get the care they need, without interference from anti-equality politicians.

Trans service members just want to do their jobs. We should let them.

President Trump's decision to freeze funding for the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) threatens global health. We urge him to immediately resume funding this critical, bipartisan, and common-sense program. www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/0...

ICYMI: Trump rescinded a 60yr-old EO prohibiting gov't contractors from discriminating against workers. While Title VII is still the law of the land, this move weakens a key source of protection for workers—including LGBTQI+ workers—across the country. www.cnn.com/2025/01/23/b...

Young LGBTQI+ people deserve to live openly & authentically as themselves, just like anyone else. Our members will continue working to protect the rights of young people as they face attacks on their rights from the Trump Administration & Republican majorities in Congress.

House Republicans' *actual* priorities are clear. It was never actually about the price of eggs.

President Trump doesn't care about lowering the price of eggs. No, he'd rather use the Oval Office to attack the rights of a tiny, minority community. We'll keep fighting back against his anti-trans & anti-LGBTQI+ attacks.

On his first day, President Trump prioritized attacking the LGBTQI+ community over solutions to any of the real problems facing American families. Read Chair @repmarktakano.bsky.social's response to President Trump's first anti-equality attacks at the link in our bio.

Today, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I met with LGBTQI+ advocates. We will stand firm against any attempt to take away our rights and freedoms during the Trump Administration!

The words & work of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. serve as eternal reminders to every American: We all have a part to play in building a future where every person is treated with respect & given the same opportunities as their neighbors.

As President & VP, Joe Biden & Kamala Harris took historic strides to advance & protect the rights of LGBTQI+ people—including by signing the #RespectForMarriageAct into law! Thank you, President Biden & Vice President Harris, for your tireless work to protect our community.
