I wish this picture panned to the left (East) so we could see what was destroyed to build 35W

Bring this shit back. It rocks.

Since I’ve been getting this a lot - if you feel like supporting me by buying a jersey or something, I would rather you make a donation to Trans Lifeline or The Trevor Project www.thetrevorproject.org

Hell yeah, brother.

There’s a whole new generation of ska bands (myself with the JER band included) crushing it. The real question is when is everyone asking for the fourth wave ready to embrace the scene of ska that is here???

On February 15th, 1980, The Selecter released their debut album, Too Much Pressure, on 2Tone Records. The album reached #5 in the UK Charts and produced two Top 25 singles. @theselecter.bsky.social @paulineblack.bsky.social

I wanted you to hear directly from me that I have decided not to run for reelection to the Senate in 2026. I have loved my job, and after 20 years of hard and rewarding work in the public sector, I'm ready to spend more time with my family. I want to take some time here to explain my decision (🧵)

If any of you fuckers say Al Franken should run for Tina’s seat I swear …

Trying to gas up Palmisano into thinking she has a chance to run for senate so that she’ll drop her council candidacy, leaving an open path for a progressive in ward 13.

💥First Avenue workers across all 7 venues voted UNANIMOUSLY to ratify their groundbreaking union contract!!! Workers won: -Big raises, longevity pay that respects years of hard work -improved scheduling, training and safety policies -protections for LGBT+ workers & more!

Ward 13 challenger to Palmisano when?!?

Winter makes our transportation priorities so clear. Street: well-cleared throughout snowfall Taxpayer subsidized “free” car parking: cleared within 24 hours Sidewalk & bus stop: untouched 48 hours later, w/ lots of footprints from all of the folks who rely on this sidewalk. #plowMPLSsidewalks

So @swaempls.bsky.social you haven’t posted in over a month, (and over 4 months on twitter.) What is this event? How are people supposed to know about what you’ve got going on?

WON'T ANYONE THINK OF CARGILL????

I was reading something about the 1890 census and thought Minneapolis/St. Paul people would find this amusing. M/SP rivalry and pettiness, it is our heritage.

When opened in 1960, the Minneapolis Planetarium had 1200 visitors a day and held the distinction of being the only one, outside of Alexandria Egypt, located inside a library. When torn down in 2002, it was reimagined in the U of M Bell Museum which today boasts North America’s first ‘seamless’ dome

What’s going on over here? A dome like a planetarium? And a Guggenheimesque parking garage of some kind?

Great to visit the Red Lake Nation and it always makes me happy seeing the eagle buildings. This is Red Lake Tribal College, it’s paired with the Red Lake Government Center.

Charing Cross Road, pedestrianised today. Glorious. Because whenever you take cars away, cities get better.

Well. I did it. I submitted my book on the history of how the US government has removed Indigenous children from their families. From colonization to removal to boarding schools to today. For middle schoolers. I think it's the first book of its kind. I can't believe I got to do it.
