"The Prodigy" Perched in the steep wall of a narrow river canyon lives this charming little tree. Reflected light kisses its leaves to make it stand out against the cool sandstone alcove it calls home.

Dragonfly - 2024 This was taken from my canoe during an early morning paddle on a local lake. The lake is surrounded by dead and dying spruce and cedar and the foggy conditions were perfect.

About ten minutes from my house is a conservation area. When I have limited time I go there because it's close by and has a river flowing through it. I have walked passed this scene dozens of times. But this day was different and I was happy to have returned to the same place... again.
