The Trump administration has just announced that all college financial aid programs, scholarships, prizes, housing, and graduation ceremonies that help Black or Latino students are now considered to be illegal. The Education Department accuses colleges of discriminating against white students.

FYI the most terrifying words in the English language have been updated to “I’m from Tesla and I’m here to help.”

The lawmaker who reintroduced the anti-DEI bill in KY yesterday said it was built upon U of Kentucky and NKU's preemptive closure of DEI offices last year. Complying in advance only leads to more suppression. kentuckylantern.com/2025/02/12/r...

Republicans 2002: “We need evidence-based education policy” Republicans 2025: “Pls destroy any evidence that could inform education policy”

My first solo-authored article is up now in RSQ! This piece was a dream to work on. I'm so humbled by the generosity of the RSQ reviewers and editors, and even more sure that my crackerjack home team of friends + colleagues is the best in the game. Check it out! bit.ly/hhopkinsrsq

Banning "confirmation bias" really gives up the game.

I appreciate that he just distilled all conspiracies into one single sentiment

Microsoft's own research confirms something that was already pretty obvious: relying on a text generating machine to come up with answers erodes critical thinking, and is a method favoured by those who never liked doing critical thinking in the first place advait.org/files/lee_20...

this stuff makes perfect sense when you understand that these people have a slaveholder’s ideology and believe that liberty means the freedom to dominate others

A payday loan place in our neighborhood closed down a few weeks back and the building is about to reopen as a vape shop. Seemingly one of the only positive developments happening in the old US of A.
