There's one thing you can count on in the U.S. : Corporate Greed. They fund the SuperPACs, payoff lawmakers, etc. I give it 3 months before the oligarchs are tired of crashing profits from tariffs, they bully the POTUS, and the Administration comes up with some half-baked reason to remove tariffs.

Anyone in Florida who's looking at their power bill right now and is fortunate enough to own A/C with a heat pump; the laws of thermodynamics are not lost on you! It is much less expensive to move heat than it is to generate it with electricity. I do not have a heat pump. 🙁
