There have been times throughout our history that tragedy caused Americans to unite in saying "Never forget." The Alamo, Pearl Harbor, 9/11. Four years ago 1/6 should have been one of those times. The fact that it wasn't will forever be a stain on those who did not and still do not condemn it.
